Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar. There are four piano players a night (two pairs who alternate every other hour). Basically, they take requests from the audience, and play those songs all night. You'll hear a lot of Billy Joel, and lot of Jimmy Buffet. Every hour or two, they make everyone get up and do a dance (everything from the hokey pokey and the YMCA to the Unicorn dance and the Land of a Thousand Dances). If you are celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, and aren't the shy type, be sure to let the piano players know, and they will help make your night extra memorable
I have been known to spend many nights sitting at on a barstool at Jellyrolls. Most times, I'll go from opening until closing. The first two hours are usually pretty dead (especially the first hour). The piano players have a lot of interaction with the guests in the first hour--they'll ask where folks are from, take requests that people shout out. It usually picks up by about 9:30 or 10:00.
The doors open at 7:00, and the piano players start playing at 8:00. Last call is at 1:30, and lights go on at 1:45. There is a $7 cover charge, and it's worth every penny.
Jellyrolls is 21 plus, so there are no kids allowed. They do not serve food at Jellyrolls (well, except for oversalted popcorn).
