Jellyroll's

I've been there twice and really enjoyed it both times.

My husband and i were there last month, they had four piano players, two swapping off throught the night. Its amazing how many songs these guys know how to play and the words to the songs.

I was warned that it is very smoke filled. Is this still true?

Well they are allowed to smoke in there. My husband and I quit smoking almost three years ago and it didn't bother us but it wasn't packed in there either

I always have a great time there! It can be a bit smoky but I haven't noticed that it was overwhelming. They stamp your hand so you have the option to step outside for a few mintues to get some fresh air if it gets too bad.

We went once. Way too smokey and way too loud for our taste. We've never been back.

My DH and I went for the first time in June. We had an awesome time. We actually sat outside for about 15 minutes debating whether or not we wanted to go into the piano bar. We ended up staying about 4 hours. The 4 guys who were singing that night were amazing.
As far as smoking goes, I tend to be extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke. I barely noticed it the night we were there. I did see people smoking, but it really didn't bother me.
I would recommend it.

Is smoking still allowed in Jellyrolls? I thought that it might have gone smoke free when the resorts were made smoke free.

Yes, since Jellyrolls is privately owned and doesn't serve food, smoking is allowed.

I've been there many times and am a non-smoker, and never had a problem with the smoke. But it also depends on how sensitive you are to smoke and how crowded the bar is.

We love Jellyrolls. We have been twice and hopt to go again in October.
I did not notice the smoke to be a problem. My husband is very sensitive and he did not complain.
The piano players are terrific and we had a great time.

The smkoe level can vary from night to night. I am very sensitive and was warned by CMs to not try it.

I would love to to to Jellyrolls, but will pass. It's one of the few places smokers have left to go at Disney. I figure the odds are it will have a really smoky environment. Maybe one of these days Jellyrolls will go smoke free. We can hope! :)

(I am quite sensitive to smoke, DH really hates to have smoke smell hanging on clothes. We've learned to just say no to smoky venues.)

Does Jelly Rolls have a cover charge or admission charge?

I think we bought three pluses on our passes. We figured one day at Typhoon Lagoon, some time at Disney Quest and we were considering going to the Adventurers Club one night.

How would you compare the entertainment value between AC and JellyRolls?

We have never been to either so I really have no idea what to expect at AC.

As a non-smoking Disney freak from way back (although I'm only 40) I have to say Jellrolls is my favorite spot to go at Disney world now......the best time to be there is from about 10 pm till midnite.........if you go early (opens at 8pm) is not enough people there to really get the feel......you want it to be somewhat crowded, that is when it really is the most fun......after a long day at the park it is great to unwind there have a beer and relax....

As I said I am a non-smoker, always have been, but am not smoke sensitive like many seem to be and I have never found air in Jellyrolls to be "thick" with smoke or over the top.......................

 :cool1: Yeah! :cool1:

Jellyrolls is a lot of fun!

The last time we were there, they charged a cover/admission.

We love Jellyrolls. I would agree it tends to be pretty smoky. But after a few beers I hardly notice. :thumbsup2

The performers are great!!

My only complaint it they don't seem to have enough wait staff. We usually go up to the bar to get our own drink cause it takes so long for the servers (who are always running around like crazy, trying to serve everyone).

Does anyone know what the cover charge is during a week night (monday-thursday) Also does anyone know what night is CM night?

I don't think it differs from weeknight & weekend, but could be wrong. the last time we were there it was $10. (last Feb) I do not know about CM night, sorry! Deb

I'm very sensitive to smoke, especially cigarette smoke. Add some cigar smoke to that and I'm over the edge so to speak. But, I haven't had a big issue with JR's. Yes, there is a fair amount of smoke in there. I try to get there really early with my friends so we can sit way up front...smoke doesn't seem as bad there. The ventilation system is pretty good. I do try to take a decongestent before I go...Tylenol Sinus works well for me. I can stay in there for a few hours, so I'm usually out of there by midnight...have never closed it down with the rest of my friends.
I do have to wash the clothes I wore that night though. I can't stand the smell in the morning. Or I put them in a plastic bag and tie it shut!!!
