Jell-O Shots? Help?

I'm ashamed to admit it - I have no idea how to make them. And the Buffett concert tomorrow has put me in charge of them.

I thought "no problem" - then I Google them and I see different ways of doing them. How could there be different ways to make Jell-O shots????

So - can anyone help? I got a big ol' jug of Malibu. And two yummy sounding Jell-O's. Tropical Fusion and Pineapple.

The box calls for one cup of boiling water - do I boil the Malibu? Won't it lose it's alcohol if I do?

Do I use half water, half Malibu?

BLAH! You'd think by 36 I could make Jell-O shots! I can do them fine, it's the making of them that baffles me.

HELP! Please!

I always make them this way...

Make Jell-O as it says on the package... what is it? Boil 1 cup of water? Yes, you do that, and then where it asks for two cups of COLD water, I always add 2 cups of cold liquor.

The Jello website actually has a bunch of alcohol based recipes on it--just click on the recipe section & the next page has the "jello lounge". I came across it when I was looking for some preschool recipes & definitely added that to my favs!

I am sooo jealous! Have fun!

I think I made them too big. Oops. Double Jell-O shots!

I have found the hardest part of making Jello shots is perfecting the water to alcohol ratio. Anything greater than 50% alcohol seems to cause the shots to not "gel" as well. One time in college we had to freeze them to make them solid. We put toothpicks in the trays and had Jello-cicles!

Have you seen these? They prevent the whole sticking your tongue in the shot cups and looking like an idiot problem associated with Jello shots! I have a set and love them.

I always use have the boiling water called for, and then instead of cold water use alcohol. Yummy

And yes the party bus is the only way to do Buffet. Plus you have a Bathroom!!!
