Jeff Foxworthy's view of Pennsylvanians

YOu know what?

I've been in VA for almost 4 years now, and I STILL cannot get used to year round Dairy Queens with drive throughs no less. If its not summer I won't touch 1:lmao:

And as for the route numbers, what person in or around Philly needs those. Heck i lived outside of it most of my life and remembered the route number for the schuylkil(Pronounced School-kill for the uninitiated) less than half the time. Last night I had to remember what the Blue-route's number was in talking about a local highway project with my Dh to compare the 2. He'd never been to Philly b4 he started dating me LOL

If your school is closed on the first day of Deer Season, you may live in Pennsylvania.

:lmao: This always cracked me up!

If you can ONLY buy beer by the case..........

If the county you live in, posts in the local paper YEARLY that it has the HIGHEST incest rate in the country.........:scared1:

If your local news paper has at least 6 mispells on the front page......

If your local TV news reports on ANY given news story, on any given day, any where else in the world...and says "....and how it effects us here locally!"
:lmao:

When Anna Nicole Smith died....The local news ACTUALLY found & Interviewed a local resident who ANS once replied too a fan mail too....THAT WAS THE LEAD STORY!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Happens all the time!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: What is the BLUE ROUTES? and Orange Routes? I've been here 17 years and see those signs all the time....and NOBODY knows what they mean!!!!!:lmao:

Halloween costumes over snowsuits...:thumbsup2 Used to do that all the time.

AC and HEAT in the same day...:woohoo: I've even forgotten I put the heat on and then couldn't figure out why it was HOT later in the day.:upsidedow :rotfl:

The only reason I ever started to pay attention to Route numbers was because I worked for a company that had hospitals all across the country and these peoplewould come to corporate for training and would need directions from the airport and we could not just say "oh yeah take the Blue Route North":rotfl:

Then some started transferring here and they were so confused by our names for roads and the different counties.

My boss(from LA) at the time was house hunting and almost everyday would come in and say "ok Chester County good, Chester bad for living in"! It was the daily joke!

A new one that might be a Philly thing, if you call the sutff you "sprinkle" on your ice cream JIMMIES, you may be from PA?

And how about all you people who know what SCRAPPLE is and LIKE it...IF it's cooked right!

Dont know about orange routes but the BLUE ROUTE is really a portion of Rt476 that runs from the end of the Turnpike(Midcounty exchange) or the end of the NE Extension (another road name!:rotfl: ) to Interstate 95. This project took forever to build and there were many arguments among locals about it being built. On the map it was always distinguished as Blue Route and the name stuck. It was built and within a year it was the most used road in SE PA!

We have BLUE & ORANGE routes up here in the poconos too!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Just makes me think of the NY Mets

Are they the alternates to get through the Stroudsburgs? If they are...:lmao: I have no idea which roads they actually are!:rotfl:

haha, the route number thing is so true!

I work at the student center info desk, so we get a lot of questions aout driving directions. They actually posted a sign behind the info desk) with the names and route numbers for each, lol.

This was pretty good, but some don't apply to me (none of agentpleakley's apply here, maybe it has to do with what part of Pa you are in.)
