So they still do the "pick the kid" method rather then lining up as they do at DHS??

I don't see it listed on RideMax.

Should we be going to the first show? And do I really need to make a sign and bring it from Canada? :confused3

We just did this on this past Sunday. We did the first show at 10:30. We made last minute signs out of manilla folders. The Jedi Master actually stopped and laughed at them. My DD (4) was dressed as Snow White and my nephew (12) was in normal attire. Her sign said "Don't let the dress fool you" and my nephew's sign said "The force is only so-so with this one. He needs some help." Needless to say, both were picked. :cool1:

- They still "pick the kid".

- Any show would do...but the first show would be best. :thumbsup2

- Bring an 8 X 11 Blank Manila Folder from Canada. "Make the sign" by folding it out & write something cute on it 37 seconds before you leave your room....or better still..... 37 seconds before you hand it to your kid.

What's important is that they have a sign & jump up & down enthusiastically.....but it's not important how much work you put into the sign.....in fact the less work the better. (imo)

(Elaborate "signs" might be confiscated because Security doesn't want unions picketing Disney.....but an 8 X 11 blank Manilla Folder would never be confiscated. :thumbsup2)

For those wondering about "signs" & other items relating to the Jedi Training Academy:

Have a great time at Walt's Park! :hippie:

:)

EDIT: DISNEYMOM BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH.....& PERFECTLY DESCRIBED HOW BEST TO DO & USE SIGNS.

:)

As far as I know they are still picking kids from the crowd, but I haven't been there in a while so things could have changed. You don't have to make sign to get picked. Your child just needs to stand out. I did DD's hair in Princess Leia buns, and told her to make sure they knew she wanted to be picked by being energetic. She was chosen and had a blast. A lot of the other kids who were picked were wearing Star Wars clothing, and none appeared timid.

Hmmm I should buy DS a star wars shirt for his birthday this summer. Then he would have something to wear.

Any ideas of wear to look?

Okay a manila folder it is.

And is it on Ridemax? :confused3

RideMax has advice for Celebrate A Street Party, Fireworks, Aladdin, Fantasmic, and World of Color, but it does not have any information about the Jedi Training Academy (JTA).

I don't have anything to add to The Hound's previous post, except to say that IMO it's a good idea to arrive at JTA at least 20 minutes ahead of time.

It's worth re-posting his thread:

May The Force Be With You! :darth:
