Jedi Training & PPO Breakfast

We have an 8:40am breakfast at H&V on a 9am Park opening morning. My kids want to do Jedi training. Can someone tell me how signing up works with PPO ADRs?

Arrive early (8:00, or so) to DHS and see if they will allow you to enter at that time.
Once inside, you and any kids signing up head to sign up for Jedi Training Academy.
(There MIGHT be sign-ups doing on right outside the restaurant.)
Sign up for JTA, then head to your PPO breakfast.

Now, for my unsolicited opinion:
I consider 8:40AM to be a very poor time to be eating an expensive breakfast when the park will likely be full of guests about 5-10 minutes later, and the lines for the popular attractions
will be getting longer by the second.

I appreciate your feedback. I booked the ADR last minute so timing is not ideal. Not sure if we will keep it but wanted to know the options.

Try to move it earlier if you can. Keep checking and try for an 8am-ish. You will be able to get in, sign up, eat breakfast and still get out before the park gets too crowded.

We had an 8:05am last week. We arrived at the gate at about 7:30, and there were about 40-50 people already waiting. CMs directed those with verified PPO reservations to one line, those taking the Star Wars tour to another, and all others were allowed to wait in any other line they chose.

At about 7:55, we were allowed in, and we went straight past H&V to Jedi Training signups (your kids need to be with you). Since it was so early, it was only a 2 minute process and we checked into H&V in time for our breakfast.

Agree with this. Unless you just want to consider it a "fee" for getting guaranteed sign up for JTA. I can't see any reason why you can't use the ADR to get in, sign up and then just sit outside H&V until the park opens, right?

Also - I was able to get a same day ADR for 8am by checking @ 1:30am. (Was woken by a kid). So, keeping checking for an early ADR even late into the night before. DH & DS went alone and ate at H&V even though we think it's terrible. JTA was a do or die item on our plan, so we thought of the H&V meal as similar to the charge for DD at the BBB. Happily paid for a terrible breakfast for 2 so we could get the ideal JTA time for our schedule! DH said that the non-ADR line for JTA sign-ups looked super stressful.
