So now I'm very confused on what to do or where to go to sign up. One thread said you could sign up where the ADR line is, now I'm reading they are going back to the rope drop inside the park. We will be there Saturday. Help me figure out where i need to go.

Thanks!

1. That was a short-time test.
2. Yup.
3. While they might (MIGHT) establish a new way to sign up, (they change things all the time)
all we can do at this point is assume that they will not be changing anything, and you'd head to the former "Sounds Dangerous" building when they drop the ropes

Two routes to get there.

Whats the minimum age for this? We are traveling with 3 kids ages 3 to 7, not sure the 3 yr old would be happy if we left him out so we may have to table this idea for another trip.

Don't table it- if you're going before October. They are closing jta from early October through December 1. It'll have a whole new cast. So if the 7 year old wants to face Vader, do it!

Is this confirmed? We are going first week of Nov and I just made FP+ for DHS in anticipation that we would be doing JTA!! If it's not available we will sleep in and park hop to DHS for the evening lights and fantasmic only....TIA!

It's as confirmed as it's going to be. CMs have been notified and Make a Wish has been told by Disney it will be closed between October 4th and December 1st.

Thanks! I've already changed FP+ times to reflect no JTA this trip :(.

I told my kids no JTA this trip, which also means that my son will never get the chance to fight Vader (unless they ditch this dumb idea to change villains). What really irks me is that we were just at Disney in June for SWW and both kids wanted to do it, and I told them no, since the SWW JTA signup frenzy is so crazy and the show is so rushed and that we were taking another trip in October. I feel like I need a MOTY award right now.

Luckily, both kids seem like they're less upset about it than I am. :)

they could still use Vader since he is a part of Rebels for Season 2, who knows.

That was my plan also. Getting to DHS at RD to do JTA. If it's not there, i'd rather get there later. I'm ashamed to admit that i've never seen the lights or fantasmic because we can never make it until that late in the day. We are 1/2 day people, and I prefer mornings when it's less crowded. Anyone think that RD in DHS is not so necessary? I'm leaning towards going after lunch so we'll last for fantasmic! Kids are not fans of the thrill rides (though DH is) so i'm thinking it won't really matter when we arrive if no JTA.

Since no JTA we might start at AK and hop after lunch to DHS. Both are usually half day parks for us. We are planning to see the Osborne lights for the first time:).

I would make FP+ for the afternoon. We've also missed fantastic and the lights in the past because kids were tuckered out by 3 pm.. They are older now so we may try AK and DHS; otherwise just DHS in the afternoon/ evening.

I just don't understand how some suit at Disney could possibly think "hey, let's take one of the most iconic villains of all time who is synonymous with Star Wars, and replace him with all of these new characters."

Really? How is that a good idea? Come on suits, keep Vader.

That's what we are doing in October since jta is closed. I think we are arriving around 2:45 and staying for the 7:30 Fantasmic! show.

Does anyone know if the ropes are in the same place as last year during the Frozen Opening Show, which were basically to the left and right of stage if I recall?

I'd choose the path I marked in orange.

If they are, do you still recommend the orange route Robo? I'm going Sunday and already planning on canceling my H&V ADR bc of all of this. Want to be one of the first to sign up for JTA so I can hop out of the park.

I have an 8:00 b'fast reservation in early February. My brilliantly thought out master plan was to have a leisurely early breakfast at Hollywood & Vine and avoid having to show up 45 minutes before park opening to get a good time slot for JTA. So now I'm guessing I should plan on having a nice but quick breakfast and plan on hauling **** at 8:45 with the rest of the rope drop crazies?

Depends on where you are standing when they release the crowds.
