Jedi Training Academy

We went 4/7:

When they line up at the Outpost, the line on the left will get Vader, the right gets Seventh Sister. SS is on the bottom.

Thanks for this tip! DS really wants to battle Darth Vader so great to know this bit of information!

Left side when you are facing which direction?

Hopefully this photo will be less confusing than the explanation I was trying to come up with. Left of the grownup is Vader. Right of the grownup is Seventh Sister. Where the grownup is standing is the direction the kids walk to the stage.

Yes, better. I knew where the lines needed to be but I wasn't clear on how you described left/right.

The way I explain it is if you are facing towards the stage, the line on the right is for Vader and the line on the left is for Seventh Sister.
For those that don't know which direction the stage is, as you are lined up for robe fitting the line on the side towards Echo lake is for Vader, nearer 50's Prime Time/Indy Store is for Seventh Sister.

My kiddies just did the JTA last week and it was the opposite. They were the line closer to the wall in the pic and ended up with the Seventh Sister. They were pretty disappointed. They were filiming that day though for something (I think an ad for the JTA for Disney TV) so maybe they switched them around for some reason?

Wasn't opposite, that's what we were saying. That stinks they were disappointed. If they don't watch Rebels, maybe getting into the show and seeing Seventh Sister will help lift their spirits?

Yes, sorry I misread your post. Wished I saw it before they went.

No, that is the Seventh Sister line always. I had to reread what PP said a couple times. The line closer to the wall, the line nearest 50's Prime Time, to the right of the CM on the picture, is the Seventh Sister line

Can you request to fight Vader and be put in his line?
Maybe but they won't be able to put everyone in their requested line. The have to put half in Darth and half in seventh sister

When the kids line up in their lines, which one ends up being closer to the stage? My DD really wants to go against Darth Vader.

We did it yesterday. Which line the kids were in had nothing to do with who they fought. Both lines started out near each other on the bottom stage. Then they told all of the kids to find a circle to stand on. They told the smaller kids to go in the front and the tall kids to go in the back. Kids from each line went to the upper stage and lower stage. They did not send one specific line to an area. The kids who went to the upper stage got Vader.

From what I read on the disABILITIES board, you only have to have the whole party there if you have more than 6 in the party. But the person who needs the DAS needs to be present.

We are a family of four. When we get a DAS for my son, he and I go get it and bring my DH's and DS's Magic bands. We don't all go. It has always been fine. We have been able to it at Guest Relations outside of DHS also.

That sounds like a mistake on the CM's part. We did it twice on our Jan trip and both times the lines were as everyone else here has stated - at line up wall side was SS and lake side was Vader. When the kids initially go up on the stage, the CM is supposed to keep them in their 2 lines and the "lake" line eventually moves to the upper stage for Vader. However, I did see on our second time, the first CM wasn't keeping the lines separated and was just sort of letting the kids go wherever. Another CM stepped in and made sure they were in the "correct" lines.

Glad I found this info. DD really wanted to face Vader when we go this time.

If I don't want to look right in the sun at the time of the Jedi Training, how time(s) should I avoid?

And if we do evening times, do they light up enough for a proper picture?

We did 6:40 a week and a half ago for 1 reason, they activate the light sabers, with the sound effects. Our photo pass and iPhone pics came out great. Here's a pic from a night one.STUDIO_JTA2_7599744654.jpeg

:thanks:ok this is a great thread, I will go to breakfast if it eliminates me having to do the mad dash for sign ups. I am also interested in which line leads to Darth....our 5y/o dd would be crushed if she could not fight him! She has been waiting since she was three for this. Keep posting your experiences all, its so helpful!

See the photo above of them lining up outside the Outpost. Left of cast member is Vader, right is Seventh Sister.

This is encouraging. If this is the way they do it, DS should be able to fight Darth Vader. He's turning 8 soon, but he's taller than my 10 year old DD.
