Jedi training academy

Does anyone know if Darth Maul has been making an appearances at HS? My son fought Darth Vader last year and is dying to fight Darth Maul. :yay:

Darth Maul is in the show usually on the busier days only. He's been in the shows alot recently because of Thanksgiving, and will be for Christmas. He's only in some of the shows per day, usually the late-morning through early afternoon. Just ask the CM at sign-ups if you are in a show with Darth Maul.

I don't have kids & am too old myself, but caught a glimpse of the show...it was so great to watch!

Even I got goosebumps watching DV walk out so I imagine for the little ones it might be scary. The CMs were pretty good about it though & the 1 lady "hid" a few of the small ones behind her while the older kids went first. Once the little ones saw/understood it was all good.

Thank you!!! My 9yr old would die if he got to fight Darth Maul and we will be there during Christmas. I will make sure to ask..thanks!!!!

Thank you all for the Darth Maul updates! Hopefully we'll get lucky and he'll be there next week!

My DD did it on Thanksgiving, she was on the main stage with Darth Vader and there were another group of kids below them at ground level with Darth Maul. (Darth Maul CM seemed much more into the whole thing).

Ohhh...this would kill my DS..he would prefer Darth maul to Vader..not sure why though..lol :confused3

I am taking my boys ages 4 and 6 to WDW for their first time in feb. They are both in love with star wars in fact my youngest doesn't talk about going to Disneyworld all he says is he is going to ride Star Wars :)
I want to sign them up for the Jedi training academy and was wondering if anyone had any tips on where I go to do it and if I should arrive super early.
One thing I am definitely not doing is telling them anything about it just in case it doesn't work out.

Thanks for the tips :thumbsup2

You'll need to prep your 4-year-old at some point, because when you sign up, they will ask him his age and they will ask him if he is able to go up on the stage in front of people.

My 4-year-old grandson was eager to do the attraction until they asked him about going up on stage. I had prepped him for this, and it was still hard for him to say "yes."

But once he was headed up to the stage with his older brother and his two cousins, he did fine.

Wow thanks for all the responses. Especially letting me know that the boys needed to come with me because my plan was to run ahead while they went with my parents to get TSM fast passes but now I will for sure bring them with me.

I am not going to tell them anything until we go there to sign up, hopefully it all works out.

My five year old son did it yesterday for the first time and it was all he talked about the rest of the day. He's never watched Star Wars and had no idea what a Jedi was but he got into it super fast!

We had ADRs at H&V at 8:05 and got out around 8:50. By then, people were already being let into the park. DH ran to get fast passes for TSM while DS and I went to the Jedi sign up. It was very clearly marked and there were CMs outside announcing the location. We were able to walk right I to the building (maybe 10 families ahead of us). We were signed up for the 11:50 show (not sure what time they start). By the time we left, the room was packed!

They have a photopass photographer at the stage who will take pictures throughout and then give you the card. Loved that since there was someone tall in front of me and I couldn't get very good pictures.

Thanks for sharing your experience! We have 8:05 H&V reservations on Sunday, and I have a little anxiety about it interfering with sign ups for Jedi Training. It sounds like it went smoothly for you, though.

We did this yesterday - we were in line by 905-910 (non emh ) and got the 1240 time slot. Someone told us - even though the park didn't official open until 9, people were able to line up around 845. I HIGHLY recommend prepping your little one- he doesn't need to know that he has a chance to participate- just show him a YouTube clip - I showed my 5 year old a clip & cut it short- I called it a mini Star Wars movie or whatever. Little kids process things so differently than we do
