I guess I'm looking to find out if it is worth my going the extra mile! We have planned only 1 DHS day and it is on our last full day. There is evening EMH, so we are not planning on going until our Sci-Fi ADR at 345pm. I know sign up for Jedi is only day of. We obviously only have a few choices for evening performances and I'm sure they will be booked up earlier than our arrival. If others think it is worth it, I will make a special trip in the morning myself while DH and DS are at the pool. It will take me at least an hour (we are staying at CSR), but I don't mind if it's worth it. DS5 LOVES Star Wars, so I think he would enjoy it. He doesn't know this option exists, so won't know that he is missing something if I don't do it. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure DS will need to be with you for you to sign him up. My DS had a blast doing it and begs every time we go to do it again. :)

If DS has to be with me, we will definitely NOT be making it! Am I right in assuming the evening shows will be booked up earlier than our arrival?

I don't have any little kids, but I watched this show a couple of times while DH rode "Star Tours" and it was unbelievably adorable- and funny. I can't imagine a better experience for any little Jedi Knight than this.

Yes, your son does have to be with you in order to sign up. It's my understanding that getting there very early is the key to getting ANY show time that day. I can't imagine there would be any openings left by the time you get there in the afternoon.

The child has to be present to sign up. Generally all shows for the day fill up in the morning.

JTA was a fantastic experience for my Son. If your son is a Star Wars fan, then I would make sure not to miss it. I would head to DHS early with your son and get signed up.

On our first trip I didn't know you had to sign up for JTA early and I had not told my son, a huge Star Wars fan, about it. We happened to go by when a show was going on and he was crushed that he couldn't do it. The main purpose for taking a trip to WDW the next year was to make sure he did JTA.

IMO it's absolutely worth the time for young Star Wars fan. Even DD, who isn't really a Star Wars fan, loved doing it.

Yes, the participating child must be there (ages 4-12 for the show) at signup (parent cannot sign them up if child is not present). Yes, the shows fill up on a first come, first served basis - if you want your child to be able to participate, you need to plan on going DIRECTLY to JTA signup at park opening.

It is a blast, and was one of the best highlights of our October trip.
