We'll be at WDW next month. Our 6 year old is a Star Wars fanatic. Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios looks like a good choice for him. Is it? Your comments and info are welcome. :cool1:

It's best to watch YouTube videos of Jedi Training Academy with him so that he can see what it entails. He needs to watch Vader and the Troopers to see if he would like to "train" against them.

If he thinks it is something he would like to do, then make plans to sign him up! :)

Yes, you know your kid better than anyone. For mine it is super fun.

Honestly, one of our all time favorite vacation memories ever! DS has done it twice, the first time when he was 6 (almost 7). It is just such a neat experience. The pics of him and the video we took are all just priceless!!! I highly recommend it!

Of course, if your child is super shy it might not be the thing for him. At 6 or 7 I do not think my dd would have enjoyed it. She was still incredibly shy at that age. She actually asked if she could do it on our next trip when she will be 11. :)

Our 5 year old did it. We didn't watch any videos before hand, so none of us knew what to expect. That made it absolutely fantastic. My 5 year loved it, but his older sybs and parents say it was one of the highlights of the trip. The jedi master is hilarious. The 5 year old now thinks he is pretty cool stuff. I say if your son loves star wars he will like it. And go with the element of surprise, dont watch the videos. Go in the morning, so you ensure a time slot. They give you a time to come back later in the day. (If you want to see lgihts motor, action, check when the showings will be, as there are only two showings, we had to leave in the middle of one to make it to the time slot) so work arounds lma.

He has to be there about 30 min before and then I think the training lasted about 20 min.

My kids both loved it. They were just turned 5 and 6 1/2. My daughter was one of the smallest kids up there and didn't get it all "right" but loved it. My son was thrilled.
