Jedi Training Academy Closing Sept 12?

There's a very upsetting rumor (at least to me) that JTA may be closing for it's "reimagining" on Sept 12. This is something my kids are super excited for. Obviously, if it was rained out, etc. we would have to miss it. BUT, why do I have to make ADR's 180 days ago, fastpasses 60 days out, but Disney can cancel things will little to no notice and that's just the way it is. I'm still pissed about Baymax, but this is really frustrating.
Anyone know if it's true?

There was a thread on EasyWDW (though Josh said he didn't think so), and someone mentioned a facebook group rumor on a thread on the Themepark strategies board. Disney also isn't listing any times after Sept 12 (though I don't know that that means anything). I am just getting super worried and pissed as my trip is less than 30 days out now....

Since it's considered a show, (and you have to sign up on the day) the schedules generally aren't listed very far in advance.

My 4 year old son would be super upset if this was closed. He's so excited about doing this in December. He and his dad are all set for the power walk for sign ups.

I have read a rumor of early October on DIS. I don't know when it will start back up though, probably early next year, maybe end of this year if we are lucky. To modify the show, I can see the need to close it down for a bit.

We are planning on doing JTA with my DS-6 on Sept 14th. They better not be stopping JTA anytime soon and without sufficient warning. JTA is one of the primary reasons we are even going to HS.

Knowing how very popular this show is and the draw it brings in with families to HS, I highly doubt Disney would cancel the show without a very public announcement with lots of lead time.

I seem to remember reading that JTA is going to be reworked, possibly to include guests of any age, in an experience similar to Enchanted Tales with Belle? But I don't remember if what I read was in connection with areas of DHS being closed off. Maybe it will be closed, though, if they have plans for its future?

They finally gained some momentum and excitement for HS with the D23 announcements. I don't see them shutting another thing down right away and destroying all the good vibes they have going. Plus they will literally be down to a handful of things for people to do in the park.

Yes but dates for the changes were not announced.

I have it on good authority from someone I know personally that JTA will be closing temporarily on October 4th and when it comes back, it will be without Vader.

The September 12th rumor is just because the post-Frozen summer show times haven't been loaded into MDE yet.

This is good news for me, as we are traveling in Sept. But what about those traveling in Oct? I really think it sucks that they haven't announced a closure.

Tell me about it. We're traveling in October and the only reason my source shared this information is because he wanted me to prepare my kids for disappointment.

It is going to go down at some point for reworking but no one is 100% sure exactly when. Unfortunately as much as it bums us all out there is that clause in Disney's tickets that says thing may be down with out warning or reason.

I told mine there is a good chance it won't happen now, and he asked me to reschedule our whole trip. Yeah right!

Do you have any info on how long JTA would be temporarily shut down? We are going to be at DHS on Nov. 18th. I'm hoping if it does close on Oct. 4th that it won't be closed for more than a month...
