Jedi/Starwars merchandise??

Do they have merchandise my boys can buy at any of the parks? They want Jedi coats? They are most excited for this!!

I've not seen Jedi coats available for purchase at WDW, not even at DHS.

Yes, there is a store that you enter as soon as you exit Star Tours. I don't remember if there are Jedi coats because my DH and DS were obsessed with the Build your Own Lightsaber. Your boys will have great time!

As you come out of Star Tours, there is a huge shop of Star Wars merchandise. I'm not certain about the robes but thy have a huge selection of all things Star Wars.

You may already know about this but there is also the Jedi Training Academy just to the left of Star Tours. They have several shows a day and pull about 10-12 kids out of the audience for training to become a Jedi...my 4 year old son (a Star Wars nut) was selected on one of the shows. It's been nearly a month since he became a "Padawan" and has not stopped talking about it yet.

During Star Wars Weekends, they do sell the Jedi robes in the store that you enter just after Star Tours. We purchased one last year. I have not looked for them during any other time but I would imagine that they have them year round. They come in the plastic pouches like you see at hanging at halloween. If I remember correctly, they were like $40. It is of ok quality but it was something we HAD to have too. Even in the June heat, she refused to take it off!

They were there in the store when you get off the ride. If I remember correctly as you are coming down the ramp they were on the left hand side of the store kind of in the corner closest to the ramp. That was in July though, so things might have changed. As PP stated, they are kind of pricey though.

YAY! I hope they have them! My boys have been saving every penny for a year and a half! They have more than $250 each! At least one of my sons will EASILY part with 50 bucks for a Jedi robe! Not to mention that mom and dad are SUCKERS for that sort of stuff for them! I just can't wait to see the looks on their faces!!! That to me is priceless!

It was $50.00 The OP is correct, When you come down the ramp - stay left, they are in the back corner. Some were hanging up, others were packaged and on the bottom shelves. Again, that was last Feb. - but they had a lot of them!! My DS did the Star Wars Training Academy twice - he was SOOOOO lucky to have gotten picked. He loved it. I'll try to post some pics.

Thanks for the picture! I see that they have my boyfriend (yoda) there for me to purchase as well! LOL! I tell DH that the only man I'd leave him for is Yoda! He'll be so pleased!

Just wanted to add that my DS also did the build your own lightsaber at DTD - he loved it. He did the double sided one, like the sith one. I don't remember if they have that at the ride store though. I'm sure they must!!!

They have every color lightsaber, but not a darth maul one (the double sided one), so I'm sure they'll be spending a good chunk of their disney savings there!

Just be careful - some of the robes have mouse ears attached. We found this out after we opened the packaging back at our hotel for the robe we had bought our five year old after she did the Jedi Training Academy. When she saw that, she burst into tears, and said "This isn't a real robe! This is just some Mickey Mouse robe!" 10 minutes with the sewing kit and all was right with the world again, though...

FYI: the Sith/Darth Maul lightsaber does not light up on both ends... (a CM explained this to us at DTD.)

The Jedi lightsabers light up completely. We thought the Darth Maul version looked a little strange in a dark room or at night, especially since it has two ends, and only one side was lit up (in red).

Correct - only the one side lights up - however, you can get the 3 color disc, so you can change the colors. DS's can be red, blue or green. He didn't care though, he wanted the one with dual sabers!!
