Ugghh. Those dreaded words. Is anyone else traveling next week? I can't believe I'm looking at Jeanne seemingly heading right over Florida. Although, she seems smaller than Ivan, I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are...

Jeanne. It's weird to see a hurricane with my name. I really hope she doesn't hit florida.

Good luck!!!!!!!:

We are leaving on Saturday and we are concerned, but it is really too early to tell where she will go. Hopefully she will die out in the middle of the Atlantic... far away from land.

I agree - hopefully it will stay far far away from land! This is our first trip to WDW and this may be a really silly question, but if (and I think when) it is rainy, what can you suggest to do with a 2yr old? My dh is completely stressing about all of this and I'd like to calm him down by offering some ideas of rainy day plans....

We are just going to go to the parks as planned on the rainy days with our 2 yr old DS. Most attractions are indoors. I am just going to make sure to bring rain gear :) One good thing about rainy days is that it ususally means that the parks are less crowded. The only thing that will be ruined is Blizzard Beach, parades and fireworks. But, I don't think there will be 7 days straight of rain... there has to be some sunny days... right? Have fun!

We're leaving for WDW on Saturday as well. I was just reading a thread about this subject on the Theme Park Attraction & Strategies board and someone from New Orleans said they heard that what's left of Ivan is supposed to stear Jeanne Northward but if it doesn't then it will be most likely be taking a more "westerly" track. Of course what the weather reports say can change several times between now and Tuesday. ;)

Actually after hearing how people weathered Charlie and Fran at WDW, I'm not as worried about Jeanne. For one thing I've heard it's a weaker storm and we figure if it hits while we're there, we'll just be inside for a day or two. We're bringing our rain gear for the rest of the time of course. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but we're not about to let it ruin our vacation. :-)
