DS2--Isaac, 15 months, along for the ride

Early morning today! We were at the bus stop at 7:05 to get to MK for our breakfast. By 7:30 we were through security and waiting to be let in, and the excitement was building! I could hardly stand it! At 8:00 sharp we were let through the turnstiles. We had a few minutes, so we took our time walking down Main St. Got several pics of the castle,a nd a family photo by one of the park photographers. Found Crystal Palace and checked in for our PS; I went on the bridge toward Frontierland (?) to take a couple pics of the outside of the restaurant, and they called us before I got back. Vickie was our server this morning. As soon as we sat down, Pooh came over for a hug and a picture, and a couple minutes later, Eeyore was there. Trevor and I got our picture with each. DH got food for himself and Isaac, and then Trev and I went to see Piglet at the buffet. After we got our food, Tigger came over to visit with us. The character interaction was really good here, we all had a great time, and we loved the food. The cheesy potatoes were awesome, the kids liked the Pooh and Piglet waffles--well, Trev thought they were cute, Isaac just likes to eat--everything was great!

After breakfast, it was park time! First we went to Dumbo, maybe a 5-minute wait, but not more. It was great! We had planned to sit together so I could take pics, but of course, Isaac and Chris were all the way on the other side. After that we got right on the caruosel with no wait, we all liked it also. Then it was on to Philharmagic, again with only a couple minute wait. Isaac fell asleep in Philharmagic, and we went over and walked on to Peter Pan's Flight. I was loving it! Isaac woke up, and we stopped for a potty and bathroom break, then DH wanted to go to the Haunted Mansion. I asked Trevor, he said he would ride if he could close his eyes if he wanted to, and I told him that was fine. We had the talk about it being pretend again, and he understood. He didn't like it when the lights went out, but after that he was ok, but later I figured out he had closed his eyes and covered his ears through the whole thing--poor baby! He said it was fun though, go figure. After that, we went to the Swiss Family treehouse and went all through it, then to Pirates of the Caribbean....Trev was afraid of that too, but when I asked him, he said he'd go, and he did. No crying, nothing like that or i wouldn't have taken him; I think he kinda liked it by the time it was over. We decided to get on the train and go to Main Street that way, so we started walking toward the station; on the way, we found the country bears out to meet people, so we stopped. I didn't know them apart, but Trevor chose Liverlips; got a picture and an autograph, he talked with him for a few minutes, then we were on our way. We enjoyed the train ride around the park.

We found the Harmony Barbershop with no problem, got Isaac out of the backpack and got in line. While we were waiting, the Dapper Dans were outside signing, then they came inside. That was really neat, but it was crowded in that little building! They did a great job, then they were on their way! I also enjoyed the "waiting sign", took me a minute to catch on that it was the hurricanes though. We waited about a half hour or so, then it was our turn. Isaac went first, since it was his first haircut and he might not do as well, plus he was getting tired. Billie cut his hair; she was great with him! She put stickers all over him, and gave him a Tinkerbelle light-up toy to keep him occupied while she worked. He did better than I thought he would, and his hair is so cute! He got his mouse ears and a little certificate for his first haircut. He doesn't look like a baby anymore, he looks like a little boy and it makes me sad! Trevor was next, he looked so serious and grown up sitting in the chair; he did well, as always. He got blue Mickey in the back of his hair and blue paint and pixie dust in his head, he looked so cute. He got some strange looks as we were leaving the park, but it was really cute. Both the boys fell asleep on the bus back to Movies, and I'm sorry if anyone sat in the seat where Trev left his "pixie dust" and gel--I didn't have anything to wipe it off with either. Gave Trev a bath really quick when we got to the room, he wanted the paint out of his hair so he could take a nap. We all needed a nap!

We got back up around 4 and went to the foodcourt for dinner. I had pasta with sauce and a breadstick, Chris had the London broil with veggies and mashed potatoes, and the kids shared a kids cheeseburger meal. Total was between $20 and $21, which wasn't too bad. Got back on the bus for MK for the evening. We made is as far as road in front of All Star Sports, and the bus just stopped dead in the road. Eleanor was our driver, and I thought she handled it well. She called and reported it, and another bus came in about 10 minutes or so.

When we got back to MK, we went in the shops on Main Street, and bought our picture from earlier. Went to Mickey's Toontown Fair and Trev and I went through Mickey and Minnie's houses. We got in line for the Barnstormer, but Trev decided he didn't want to ride, so we went back out. We met Chris and Isaac at the play area. We went into Donald's Boat, the water is working again; that was fun, they loved it! We walked over to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz Lightyear with about a 2 minute wait, long enough to walk around to where you get on. Chris got over 200,000 points, I only got a whopping 16,000...oh well, it was fun. Next we went to the Carousel of Progress; the doors closed as we got up there there, and it started to spin. About 10 seconds later it stopped; the CM said someone must have tried to go through the door, and sure enough, about 10 people came out the door. We decided not to wait, and went to find a spot to watch Spectromagic instead. It was already crowded, but we found a spot on the corner across from the Emporium closest to the castle. Chris went to get us some Mickey bars while we waited. We had to stand behind other people, but we could see for the most part. Chris put Trev up on his shoulders, and he loved that. After the parade, we headed up toward the castle for the fireworks. We had a pretty good spot, at the end of the Tomorrowland bridge on the right of the castle; there was a small tree blocking some of the view, but we could see pretty well. We waited around after it was over, and looked in several shops before going to get the bus. Each All-Star had a bus to itself, so we got on the Music bus (much less crowded) and walked about 5 minutes back to our room from there.

We decided this was our favorite day so far!

Next up: AK, Donald's Breakfastasaurus, and 1900 Park Fare

Bigbabyblues...Just thought I'd post to let you know how much I'm enjoying hearing about your trip to the World with your precious boys! I can't get over how well-behaved they were and how well you handled two young children on their first time to meet Mickey! Congrat to both you and your hubby! I always get a smile reading about "first trips". Thanks for taking the time to share.

:p IVY :p

Thanks Ivy, I'm glad you're enjoying them! I have really been blessed with my boys, they're well behaved most of the time! Isaac has a bit of a temper, he gets that from me, but we had an awesome trip!

Isn't Billie the best? She's done my husband's hair twice and I just love her! (Hope to have her cut his hair again in 2 weeks!)
