Day 6:

Well today we got up much later than normal, is there a normal time at WDW? The late start was definitely needed after MNSSHP. At about 10 we head to the Kona Café for breakfast. Jackie ordered the eggs Benedict, the 2 kids ordered Mickey pancakes, 1 ordered goofy toast (eggs fried in the center of toast) and I ordered Tonga toast. Something as good as Tonga Toast has to be bad for you!!! Sara, our 4 yr old daughter, ate and ate and ate, if she would only eat this well at the buffets!! Please check out my restaurant report if you want more specifics!!

After a great breakfast we headed over to Epcot. Well, we started heading over there. It was very warm and getting warmer so we decided to hit the pool instead. The new volcano pool at the Poly is great. The kids rate it an 8.5 (with parental fudging of the rating system). This was a great idea. We all felt recharged after this break and were ready to attack Epcot.

At about 1:30 we headed over to Epcot. We did some more of the innoventions stuff. Then, over to Ice Station Cool to try a Beverly. I absolutely loved it. I loaded all the empty containers that we had available and drank Beverly for the rest of the trip. The kids didn’t like it, but that just meant more for me!!

Now a word about test track. This ride was not what I expected. From what I saw on the outside I thought you would be speeding around the test track at about 120 mph. I am sorry to say that this was THE worst ride that I had been on, that includes “It’s a Small World”, because it looked so promising and delivered so little. Granted the side ‘G’ forces would be impossible to duplicate without a track, but that was it. If I offend some of you true diehard TT fans I apologize. Come visit me and I’ll take you on a real test track!!! However, my son and wife loved it so that makes it more than worth it to me.

After test Track we headed over to World Showcase to watch tapestry of dreams and Illuminations for the 3rd time. We really enjoy that show!! We headed back to the Poly via the monorail. Usually we walk from the TTC to the Poly but this night we just wanted a little more time to sit so we changed monorails and took that back to the Poly. We just about collapsed as we got to our room, another successful day completed.

Next: AK and Pleasure Island

PS: I lied about Beverly…thanks to the warnings about this drink I took the smallest of sips and am eternally greatful!!

I am so jealous. You make me want to plan a trip round Halloween. Thanks for posting.

LOL, jdads2. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that you drank cups and cups of Beverly.

Sounds like a great day. We ate breakfast at the Kona Cafe, but didn't end up trying the Tonga Toast. Maybe next time, it sounds so good!

your post....at the end.......thanks so much for explaining that one......blahhhh.....Test track was fun for me.....cause I don't usually go any faster then what I can walk.........thanks for the report

I know what you mean about Test Track. I love the speed but, the test part is like driving with my sister. She is a crazy driver.

Jdad's you need to take me on YOUR test track! ;) I just love Test Track. But some people seem to think it's just like a regular drive with me!

You now what? I was disappointed in Test Track too. I think it's because I read too many glowing reports before I left. I was expecting more. I wouldn't stand in line for more than 10 minutes to ride it.

Thanks for posting this and sharing your day with us.
