Day 3: Breakfastasourus
I am beginning to see why you need a vacation after your WDW vacation!! These late nights, late pool trips and early wake-ups are already getting a little tough on this old man. Did that just come out of MY mouth?
So, today is supposed to be a relatively cheap day. Sure the breakfast is supposed to be pricey but then we have all of the gift certificates we earned for RFC.
Breakfastasourus was great the hot foods were excellent and the fruits were fresh and very tasty. The Character interaction was also very good. Goofy, Donald, Mickey and Pluto were all there and very friendly. After breakfast we headed to the Dinosaur ride. Ten minute wait at most. Then Kilimanjaro Safari (walk-on) and Rafikis Planet watch. After that it was Its Tough To Be a Bug this was my favorite 3D ride/show. All walk-ons or less than a 5 minute wait. We were then harassed by a CM and chased into Lino King. It was excellent!!! My wife absolutely loved the show. We thanked the CM when we exited the show, if it wasnt for him we probably would have skipped it.
I am amazed at the incredible details that this park has. The WDW staff has outdone itself with the work already completed in this park. I can hardly wait for the new rides and attractions.
After sightseeing for a little bit we went to lunch at RFC. This was our first time in a Rain Forest Café. We had a great time. My DW had the chicken club and she would rate it an 8. I had the Jambalaya and I would rate it a 9. We had the Volcanoe for dessert and would rate that an 8 as well. The bill came to a staggering $125.00. That did include dinner and dessert for 5 and a nice tip but we had $125.00 in gift certificates so the net out of pocket was $0.00 WOOHOO. Food and service were well above average.
I was very disappointed that we didn't see Devine or the palm tree.
We left AK at 5 and were in Epcot, for Illuminations again, by 6. We hit The Living Seas and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience and some Innoventions stuff. Then back to Japan. On the way I had a beavertail .not a big deal. I make them at home and mine are better .visit and Ill prove it!! On the bus ride from AK to TTC my DD fell asleep. If I hadnt noticed the gentleman from England looking back and seeing his eyes open wide I never would have turned in time to catch her before she fell asleep and slipped off the bus seat. Of course , with the 10 minute power nap she was all pumped up and ready for Epcot.
We got back to the Poly and hit the quiet pool by 10:30.
