The Cast:
Dave (jdads2), my DW Jackie (Dwofjdads2), Anthony (DS age 11), Drew (DS age 8) and Sara (DD age 5).
DAY 5:
Well, as you know by now we were bumped up to concierge by special services and AKL staff when there was a problem with our savannah view room. As soon as we got the room ok the next day, I made arrangements for us to go on the Sunrise Safari. We have been looking forward to this since the day I made the PSs and we were not disappointed.
We didnt want to fill ourselves this morning with the concierge staffs offerings because we wanted to be hungry for the breakfast at AKL. We board the special bus to AK and enter via the back door entrance. We get a nice description of the barns and the horticulture staff and their responsibilities. Very interesting and informative. The safari was incredible! We were out there for about an hour and the views and sights were terrific. No one on the ride was disappointed. It was a great opportunity to see the animals run around and stretch in the early morning sun.
After the safari came breakfast and what a breakfast it was! Opened face omelet, fruit stew with a pastry topping, cinnamon buns, bacon, sausages, and fried eggs. Fresh fruits, juices and pastries. Lets not forget the tasty French toast with banana syrup and much more. They brought in an African singer during breakfast. At first I was a little startled but he was very good and when we started to sing along it became a lot of fun.
After rolling out of breakfast we head to Its Tough to be a Bug then after that show we head to Dinosaur, then Kali River Rapids and do that 3 times. We decide to head back to the resort to change and then head to MK to ride a few things there. We get to MK at about 1:00 and head toward Frontierland. We do Swiss Family Tree House and the Tiki room along the way. Then hit Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. Now that we are hungry we head over to Pecos Bills and have lunch. We have only made it half way around and decide to head out in order to catch Illuminations in Epcot .priorities, priorities. We get to AKL and grab a quick snack and head to Epcot in order to see Illuminations. This is my brothers last night so it was nice to see this show with him, he loves fireworks and this blew him away.
Once again we provide a bit of humor by doing the hot coal walk over the sparkling sidewalk. Another busy day and we get to bed early, in by 10:30!

And no, I'm not jealous you got to go on the Sunrise Safari and we won't. I'm not a jealous person...I'm very happy for you, I really am.
