Jazz Band

jazz band is starting up at my school today. i have to go in about 15 minutes....i wish rehearsal was shorter. we have 4:30 - 6:30. it's not that i don't like jazz band, i just don't like long rehearsals.

anyway, i was just wondering if anyone else was in jazz band at their schools, and on what instrument.

i play the piano in JB by the way.

I'm in jazz band. I play the flute. I had to try out to see if I get in. At my school jazz band is from 3:10 to 5:00pm. It's my 2ed year in it. last year I was a 6th grader and had to be talented enough. She had to see if I can play the music.It is really fun.

this is my 3rd year in high school, but i did it in 6th and 7th grade too. i'm trying to get my band director let me double on jazz flute since we have 3 pianists. we never play songs that have parts for jazz flute though, so i guess we'll see.

I did last year, I learned to play trombone in 2 weeks But this year, alas, I am a freshman, and I don't play trombone nearly good enough to try out, and the clarinetist is amazing. So I didn't want to

I would try out for jazz band, but I play the french horn and that is not an instrument for jazz band at my school. I think I will try out on the piano next year, but I will see. We have rehersal from 2:30-4:00.

I am SO excited about that last one! We've never played christmas songs in jazz band before, and this one sounds really cool. I already have dibs on this song.

im not in the jazz band, but im involved with the marching band, the pep band, and the clown band but i play the clarinet and our jazz band doesn't allow clarinets!

My school is starting one after xmas break, and i think i'm gonna play the piano for it (or at least thats what my band director told me today!)
