Jaws closing for good on Jan 2

i love jaws and hate to see it go- not just the ride but the whole area.

i love the hotdogs there and the whole theming of the area! i just hope its not

more harry potter - i know i am in the minority but i hate that area. i am a huge

universal and ioa fan but i think the whole harry potter area is horrible.

Sorry if I say something that's been said already, but alot of pages on here now. I'm betting on Transformers the Ride going into the Jaws location. Spielburg was quoted earlier this year saying that it was coming to Universal Orlando and would be announced soon, and its going in at Universal Hollywood as we speak.

Transformers makes much more sense than a second Harry Potter attraction, which I think would be confusing and not fit with the rest of the layout in the Studios park.

My money is on Transformers....but that's just my 2 cents.

I would LOVE to see Transformers in Universal Studios. I think it fits with the theme of the park better than an expansion of WWOHP. WWOHP fits great in IoA. IMO, it would make more sense to continue its expansion in IoA instead of branching it out to US.

Now, with that being said, PLEASE do not let Transformers be a simulator!

It has already been confirmed by some reliable sources that Transformers is NOT coming to the Jaws location which doesn't mean it might not go somewhere else in the park.

Transformers is pretty much the same ride system as Spiderman.

The Transformers ride is way too small to fill the space of Jaws. It would take up about a quarter of the space.

I am to sad .our first trip 11 years ago my then 5 year old was so excited to go Jaws he fell getting into the boat and cut his leg pretty bad .Well we still had to do the boat ride .After the ride they wheeled him to first aid and everyone there was waiting for us and asked if he was the one bitten By Jaws .With a cut up knee he was still the happiest kid .He is now 16 and we go every year and Jaws is a must .I know I will always have our memories but they aren't the same .

Wow. That kinda sucks. I don't think Jaws is the best ride but I do really like it. I'm glad my kids got to go on it last year since they were a bit scared and I had to convince them to go on.

Universal really needs more rides without taking any out. Maybe they figure Jaws is taking up too much space by itself and they are adding more than one attraction to the area.

I hope the WWOHP expansion is done well. It doesn't matter if it's WB... as long as it's making money for both companies everyone is happy. I agree it should be in place of the Lost Continent.

Universal doesn't own the theme park rights to Titanic, Paramount is. I think they're planning on making a theme ride in their Paramount theme park in South Korea.

And US and IOA focuses on licensing big franchises (HP, Simpsons, Marvel, Scooby Doo) and their Universal-owned properties like Jurassic Park, Mummy, and Despicable Me. They're not going to make rides or themed attractions to family movies like Soul Surfer or Dolphin Tale, which aren't Universal-released movies either.

I think you can expect very long lines at Jaws that day as many local fans will say goodbye and since lots people are off work that day, it should be a madhouse.

Get rid of Fear Factor! I mean really Jaws over Fear Factor or even Twister? UGH!

I hope they don't get rid of Fear Factor, I have yet to see it and we are plaanning to go when it's on next time. I doubt they will get rid of it since it is coming back to tv on Monday all new!!! Yippee!

I really hope that whatever it is that it's not some technology advanced motion simulator. UO needs a great classic attraction that everyone can ride.

I agree 100%!!! I am tired of sitting outside the attractions because I get sick. That`s why I loved King Kong and Jaws, I could be a part of the fun instead of watching on the sidelines bored. If the get rid of ET that will be it for me and US.

I also agree. Phamton and I were discussing this tonight at the DIS event at WWoHP. Universal needs to add a new and exciting attraction that's fun for everyone.
