Hi...last time there..we stood on the deck of a restaurant in Japan and watched illiuminations...does anyone know the name of this place...looked like a great place to eat at overlooking the lake? thanks..amy

You're think of the Matsunoma Lounge. If I remember correctly, they don't take ADRs. We ate there last May and it was very yummy, but when I called DD that morning to see if we could get a seating they said they didn't accept ADRs and to just show up when you're ready to eat. They share a menu/kitchen with Tempura Kiku so the options are sushi and tempura style meals.

Actually I think that deck is part of Teppanyaki...thats the Japanese Steak House/Hibachi. They do take ADR's and it was VERY yum!

There are three differnt places inside Mitsukoshi. The lounge, Tempura Kiku, and Teppanyaki. Tempura Kiku does not take ADRs, Teppanyaki does. We really enjoyed Tempura Kiku. Of course, anything dipped in batter and fried tastes great!!! :) There is also a place called Yakitori (not in the same building) that is counter service and the food there is a GREAT value!

Thanks for the replies but I am a little confussed :goodvibes So if I wanted the front part looking out the windows...what restaurant would this be...I understand it has several inside..but still not sure which one is the front at the windows... :sunny: thanks..amy

The front part is Matsunoma Lounge. We ate there last week and had a window table.

Ditto what mouseclick1 said.....the lounge is at the very front. And there is a nice patio that goes around the front and sides.
