Anybody else going in January?

We go the 17th and are looking forward to quieter crowds. Also with taking our 19 month old, we are thinking the cooler weather will be of a benefit to him.

We're staying at a villa on Emerald Island (Formosa Gardens area) and are just generally looking forward to it. The last time we came was as a couple on our honeymoon and this time it will be with family (8 in total)

Keeping up with the trip planning/trip reports forums enhances the excitement even more

Not going in January but you have chosen an excellent location, there are restaurants within easy reach, good Disney and I4 access plus a Publix Supermarket less than a mile away.

DH and myself are going on the 13th Jan, and i am doing everyones heads in, with my countdown. I am so excited, i only hope it isn't too cold, but even if it is cool it will certainly be warmer than home (hee hee hee) i am looking forward to the quiet parks ( i hope i haven't jinxed it),. The parks will be quiet - but make sure you pack a couple of jumpers etc as it will be cool especially in the mornings and evenings.

Another one going in Jan - from 10 Jan to 2 Feb!

Couple of busy weekends in Jan - the marathon weekend around the 7th and one holiday weekend later in the month. But not busy by their busy standards!

Not going till Jan 2008, but have been twice before at this time of year. parks will be very quiet, weather will be variable in temperature, but we have still managed to get to a waterpark both times, and we have managed to stay all day at the parks because of these favourable conditions.
Like Johnny says, Formosa gardens is a great area to be in. You are closer to Animal Kingdom than most of the disney hotels! The shopping and restaurants available around here are great and its so convenient for Disney World. Have a great trip all you Jan people
