January trip to Disneyland (and also to visit the in-laws.)

Subbing in.
We like the Plaza. Last year we got a 2 room suite for $100. We're staying at DLH for New Year's because everything was high-priced for the holidays, and we got an AP rate of $209. It's our first time back since our honeymoon, 24 years ago.
When the parks close early, we usually go outside the park for dinner, then soak in the hot tub. I know, we're wild things.

Hi! Thanks for joining. I've never stayed onsite at DLR. But if I could, I defintely would!

Great pre-trip report! We're going in January too (earlier than you) and I'm not as organized yet!!

Oh my goodness, all those refurb walls look horrible!

Yeah...it's pretty bad. I just showed them to DH. We had a little laugh about it. We'll make the most of it. Maybe I'll take photos of him in front of each of the walls throughout the parks...haha. Luckily, we've seen the parks looking good before so it's not a huge deal. Sure, I'd rather have pretty pictures, but I'll live. At least the castle isn't covered up (fingers crossed.) We have been there when the castle was covered and that kind of stunk.

Anyway...the photos in my trip report might not be very good.

I'm hoping some of those walls are down by the time you go. They try to work fast on the smaller things.

I love my fanny pack (or bum bag, as my Aussie cousins call it). Years ago, a nurse told me I was damaging my neck and shoulders w/my purse. She suggested the fanny pack, so I've "nerded it up" when I'm traveling ever since.

Yeah, I like nerding it up. It's much more comfortable and I don't really have anyone to impress...haha.
