Yay, you started a new one! Can't wait to hear what you have planned so far! :goodvibes

 Yay, a plan for the first day!

What hotel are two staying at?

I'm almost a little sad that Disneyland will be closing at 8 for most of January. Hopefully that means they're not expecting many people to be there. Usually when I'm there for a 8pm park close, I go watch a movie at AMC.

We'll be staying at the Anaheim Plaza. We've stayed there twice before. It's nothing fancy, of course. But it's cheap and it's only about a 10 minute walk to the parks.

so are you going in January? When?

If I do end up going, it will be the 11-14. The 14th is my b-day, and I want that birthday fun card! :rotfl:

Who are you going with? Where are you going to stay?

I'm going with my friend. He was saying he wants to stay at the Disneyland hotel, but I'm not sure I want to spend the money on that. So I really have no clue where I want to stay. He's moving down from Washington for a few months and I'm waiting for him to get back to Cali so we can start planning the trip.

It would be cool to stay onsite but we can never afford that. We stay onsite at WDW so that's good enough for me...haha.

At Disneyland I've only stayed at the Anaheim Plaza and the Anabella.

I figure it will be $200 dollars a night, and I don't think I really want to pay that! :rotfl:

The last time I stayed on site was in 2000, I think. My family stayed at GCH and it was SO awesome. I room overlooked Grr and it was neat to watch them turn on the water for the waterfalls in the morning.

Nowadays, my family stays at BWPPI or Desert Inn and Suites. I've also stayed at Holiday Inn and Suites on s. Walnut. Honestly, all I need is a bed and a bathroom that are clean and I'm a-OK!

GCH!! I'm jealous.

$200 is a bit steep for us. At WDW we stayed at a moderate resort for $145 a night. It was really nice. We actually spent quite a bit of time there because the parks closed early some nights. So we'd wander the grounds and take photos. We also ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel a lot. It was well worth the $145 a night. We're hoping to go back in January 2010.

At the Anaheim Plaza, their rates are typically around $69 a night. We're barely in the room so we like it. If my in-laws didn't have a cat, we'd probably stay with them.

Like my mom says, "the GCH was a one time thing, so I hope you enjoyed it!" :rotfl: I did enjoy it, it was amazing and it was like waking up in the park. I would love to stay there again one day, but that will be a long long time away.

I think it would be nice to stay at the DLH, but I just don't think I can budget for it. After the holidays I think it will be easier to sit down and be like, OK here's what we can afford...blah, blah, blah. And if it's meant to be it will happen, and if not, maybe we can just spend one night there and the rest of the time somewhere else. There's so many options that it's kinda overwhelming to me.

I would love to go to WDW, but that's going to be another one of those far off trips where I have to wait until I actually have money to take a trip across the US. I'm lucky that I can afford a trip to Disneyland!

Found ya! ;)

Plans sound good so far. I love Target so anything involving a stop there is ok by me. LOL Looking forward to more. popcorn::

The more we look at our finances...the more we think we won't be able to go to WDW in January 2010. It makes me sad...but that's life.
