January park availability

Hello! I have booked a timeshare near DL for the last week of January 2023. There is a small chance that we will not be able to make the trip due to some work things (namely, one of us may have been involuntarily retired due to restructuring). I think we will know by the end of our fiscal year if one of us will be unemployed. The timeshare can be cancelled up to 15 days in advance, so not worried about cancelling it.

If I hold off on buying tickets until October 2022, will there still be availability for January? I know in Jan 2021, I bought WDW tickets the night before and got the reservation I wanted, but we have no experience with DL. We can always go back to WDW, but hubby would like a change, and says 4 Januarys in a row at the same parks would be boring...

I suspect you'll be fine - last week of January should be fairly easy to get reservations for 3 months out.

Park reservations for DLR only open 120 days out for regular tickets (90 days for Magic Keys), unlike the long-ranging WDW calendar, so they won’t have been open very long anyway.
