January: Parades, Fireworks, Misc

Now in January, with all the parks closing earlier, do they still have all the parades (including SpectroMagic, if thats the light parade at MK), and Fireworks (including Fantasy in the Sky, Fantasmic, and Illuminations, if thats what they are all called still )?

in january, it's usually just a few nights each month that they have those things, always posted in advance so you can plan. don't worry about the parks closing earlier, though. you more than make up for it by being able to dash into things w/ the shorter lines. you just might have to work a bit harder to find things to do at night if you are not the type to go back to the room before 11:00 p.m. have fun!

illuminations is every night all year.

Our experience in Jan. was that the MK fireworks were done a couple nights during the week, the nighttime parade was only on Fri. or Sat. , but otherwise everything was daily...the afternoon parardes and Illuminations, mainly.

But this is how its been for most of our trips since about 1999....not only January (those trips have included Nov, Dec, Sept and July). The big difference with January is that the weather can be iffy (it was beautiful for us, though...) and its probably the most empty month of the year!
