January hotel deals?

Ok Disney veterans, I need help. Did I miss out on decent room rates for January? We are looking for January 6-8, but I can't find a decent rate for GCH or HoJo's.

We have APs, yet I see nothing so far. Am I being too impatient?

Honestly, I don't think I've seen any AP rates or special deals for time frame yet at DLR. The last ones I remember seeing were through about the middle of Dec.

Just checked and none at HOJOs either....

Keep your fingers crossed and eyes opened, lol!

You haven't missed anything. I've been waiting for Feb discounts and there hasn't been anything beyond December 16th. The current round of discounts are bookable until the end of this month, so I'm hoping after American Thanksgiving we'll see 2011 discounts.

I haven't been able to find any either. Was hoping to do a stopover on my way to ski in Utah for a few days at Paradise Pier but the AP rates are still in the $220+ range. Let me know if you find any; I'm hoping for the same dates as you 1/6-1/8 to get more use out of my AP!

I checked my credit card statements from the past two years and it appears that I booked some AP-type of rate on 12/27/08 and 12/31/09 respectively for PPH and DLH. DW's birthday is 1/10, so visiting DLR around that week has become an annual thing for us (and hopefully again in 2011). If they keep the current trend, I'd expect to a see a deal released after the Thanksgiving season in early to mid-December. I'll offer another set of eyes watching for anything that pops up.

My birthday is in January and I've gone for the past 3 years, end of the month, on a special ap rate. I don't remember when it was released, though! January is typically fairly slow (esp after the first week) and the weather kind of iffy, so I'd be surprised if they didn't offer some kind of lower rate then. I sure hope so, since I want to go again this year.

My ap expired last month and I don't renew until next Sat. when I'll be upgrading my GAD voucher to a DAP. It has been horrible being blocked from the ap site and I have no idea what the current rates are. Can't wait until Saturday!!!
