Hey new to this thread, I mainly poke around the rumors and news section but I like to work out... If I commit to say 500 minutes of running how long do I have to do it? All year ?

On the exercise challenge thread, we each choose an individual goal of X minutes of exercise for the month. The exercise can be of any type. You will find people doing everything from walking, running, phyiscal therapy, yoga, cardio classes, strength training, biking, anything active really, on this thread. The point is to make your own mini-monthly goal and use this board to help stay accountable. We post our minutes on to the thread on a daily, weekly, whatever basis you want and one person will update the first post of the thread to show everyone's progress. We're 2/3 of the way through January, but you can feel free to join if you'd like. There are more details on the first page if you are interested.

Saturday 2 hrs for the parks.

Sunday 4 hrs for the half marathon and walking to and from the hotel and then another 60 min for walking in the parks afterwards. I am officially TIRED.

Today I have walked a total of 40953 steps and 18.42 miles. :cheer2: :faint:

No wonder I'm tired.

WTG on completing Tink! This is on my list of races for 2014. Would love to hear more about it. Did you post about it in the Events threads?

WDW Marathon: 400 minutes
Various PT last week: 20 minutes

You're running the thread--you make the rules! :rotfl2: I say change 'em if you want!

I'm at 1459/1700. That includes abs, weights, walks and yoga. My DH came in while I was attempting the yoga and was impressed, so guess I'm better than I thought!
 
PlutoBaby - are you seriously thinking of the marathon? I can't even fathom it but boy would I love to run that course! All four parks. How fun would that be?!

I AM!! :crazy2: I must be out of my mind, but if my knee holds up for the next half on 3/30 (and the W&D of course:thumbsup2), I may just consider it. I had a heart to heart with the DH last night and told him I REALLY want to shoot for the C2C in 2014 as well. So I don't know if I would do the W&D this Nov., the WDW Marathon next Jan, and either the Princess in Feb 2014 or W&D Nov 2014. Decisions, decisions....:rolleyes2:confused3
