January Exercise Challenge - New Year, New Beginnings, New chance to MOVE!!

OK, I blew it. I should NOT have done the 60 min on the treadmill. My achilles tendon is sore. Dang it.

I have never ever had this happen before. I must be so out of shape it is not funny at this point....geesh.:headache:

I am now at 810/1500. I'll have to pick up the pace if I am going to make my goal this month. I'm afraid that my recovery time is still a little longer since my surgery, so there are more rest days than usual. What really is surprising to me though is that I am enjoying my time on the treadmill! It is a big help in getting me out of my bad stride habits I developed before I got my hip fixed. I am actually re-learning to walk without limping! :cheer2:

MM - yoga is definitely a workout. And Zoesmama - walking is walking. If it is exercise to you.....COUNT IT!!!!

Personally, anything moving is exercise most days. But I count what my bodybugg considers moderate exercise----any time I burn 3cal/min or more.

Just keep thinking that Spring is just around the corner. Really starting to feel like it here. Today I walked w/ no jacket- just a Tshirt (and pants, of course!:rotfl:)

Yeah its work because I make it work. On the way there I speed walk all the way. On the way back I take a little longer because Zoe is a slow poke most days. On Mon and Thursdays I come back with added weight from her violin. :lmao:


I know you just updated but just so I keep up I'm at 580/750 now. :woohoo: We've had beautiful weather for shorts The last week or so. Monday was really warm when we went to the park.

I am at 990/1500. There is a small chance I may still make it, but it will take some work on my part. I may have bitten off more than I'm ready to handle this month, but we'll see how the next few days go. I certainly haven't given up yet! :cheer2:
 
:woohoo: So excited to check my minute total on SP for the month I'm at 710/750:banana::yay: I'm gonna make it. YIPPY!!! I'm thinking I'll do WATP today it will be 45 minutes then with my 10 minute walk this afternoon I'll be going over my goal. :woohoo:

I did 45 min WATP so after my walk to bus I'm now officially at 755/750 :woohoo: I made it.

My final total for Jan is 1280/1500.

Didn't quite make goal, but I am still pleased with what I was able to do this month. I am going lower with my goal for next month because it is a shorter month even though I am able to do a lot more now that I could in early Jan. I go back to my ortho Dr next week when he will hopefully release me to do more. Specifically, I'm hoping to get back out on the golf course! That will help boost my min!
 
I finished off Jan with 835/750 minutes. :woohoo:

Not sure what my goal for Feb will be. I know we lose a few days but I'm making it my goal to keep my 5 weekdays and add in 30-45 minutes on Saturday. Sunday will be a rest or gentle exercise day.
