My wife and I will be making our first January trip to Universal and we were wondering what the crowds will be like. We've been in October and May in the past and the parks have been empty at opening. Will that be the case in January?

After New Years weekend, say after the 4'th the crowds calm down alot.

My son and I are going Jan. 28-Feb. 1st and I am hoping its not crowded. I doubt it will be but I am a little concerned about the weekend. We are staying on-site, so at least we have the express pass. The last time we went was a few years ago during Spring Break and it was pretty crowded but manageable, plus we stayed on-site. It was a great vacation and we really had a nice week there.

Nah...you'll be fine and since you're staying onsite, the lines should not be of concern.

Are weekends still busy with more local visitors? Or are they very manageable, too?

Julie
Weekends are busier but still not bad at all.
