I think I read on Mousesavers that they usually come out in October... does anyone know if I should be watching now, or if it is more toward the end of the month?

Is anyone else foaming at the mouth for these codes? :)

That just about describes it. I call Dsiney everymorning at 7:30 to see they keep telling in a week or two but no one there knows for sure.

Man I hate waiting

Count me in for foaming at the mouth for January codes!!

I wake up every morning at 5:30 to check Mousesavers and the DIS boards to see if they've come out.

Booked my trip to WDW last week for April. I am very new to this codes thing since I haven't been to WDW since 1990.

So if a code comes out in October, say like for the winter months--can I call and apply that to my reservation and then if another one comes in January for early Spring, can I apply that one too?
Is there a limit as to how many codes can be put on a reservation?

Thanks for your help.

P.S. How can I get one of those countdown calendars for my posts?

We're waiting too. Staying 2 nights prior to 7-day Eastern on the Magic.

Does any know what type of rates were last year for January? We're looking at WL, Poly or BC.

Thanks.

ribbot,

I booked Pop Century at rack rate last week and unless things have changed, this is how expect things to go:

In a few days/weeks codes for my time frame (Jan 1 - 10) will come out. In the past I would call CRO and book my room under that code's rate, then cancel the old ressie which carries a higher rate. Some folks here say you can just call Disney, have them pull up your ressie and apply the new, lower code rate to what you have. In my case, I'm probably going to trade up to a moderate so I'll just cancel the old and book the new. The one night's deposit on tha old ressie gets applied to the new.

You can't use multiple codes on one ressie, if that's what you're asking, at least not by experience. Codes have dates that they are good for. A code for Jan 1 through Feb. 15 would be no good for April, you'll have to await the April codes.

Thanks Bill for the answer, that was my question. See, this is why you have dis veteran beside your name and I don't. It's been so long since I've been there and at the time I had a travel agent do everything for me and I also didn't have the internet. Boy, the things we learn!

Thanks again.
(and I'm from Pee-ay too) :)

Blondeqtip says it all - foaming at the mouth says it better than I ever could!!!!

We're waiting for January, too. I reserved POR at rack rates for January 1 through 8. The castmember with whom I made my reservation said that the codes for January would probably come out at the beginning of November (6 - 8 weeks in advance).

I'm still checking every day (but not at 5:00 a.m.!)

(DD picked these:)

I'm waiting for early Feb. Hopefully the next set of codes will go at least to mid Feb.

We currently have a AAA booking for January 7th -16th. Hoping for codes or AP rate.

We went in Jan 2004 and the room only rates and AP rates were released December 4th. So if this year is the same, we have another 6 or so weeks before codes are out.

I got something from disney in the mail yesterday about winter vacations and it said I could book the value resorts for $77 plus tax for january 2-february 16. Surely there will be better rates than that for this time frame..........don't you think? Did anyone else get the same post card. (It wasn't really a postcard....more like an open up flyer.)

I booked Pop Century for $77 a week ago just to have a place for our New Year's Day arrival. That's the normal Value Season rate and I expect to see it drop to $49 - $55 when codes come out. At that point, moderates will probably be $79 - $85 so I'll probably trade up.

Got Garden View Concierge at Poly last year in early January for AP rate of $267. But code did not come out until December 5th. Arrrrgh...it was a long wait and I hope this years codes come sooner or I'll be .

Waiting for codes also..thinking about booking a short birthday trip.
