January AKL heated pools?

Going to be at AKL in a few weeks, Jan 17th to be exact.
Are the pools at the AKL heated for swimming? Being mid january, can you even swim? Not sure what the weather is like down there around this time.
Can't be any worse than the balmy below zero weather here in Chicago.

We just got back on Thursday from a week at AKL.

DS9 & DH swam two or three days. DD & I only went in the hot tubs.
There were plenty of people in the pool though.

All WDW pools are heated to 72 degrees.

The long-range forecast for mid-January is 70 daytime/50 nighttime. (I looked it up because our trip is at the same time.)

In my opinion, it is the wind that can make it too cool to swim this time of the year. Any body part above water is going to seem colder with the wind.

With all that said, it is a personal choice. My DD and I would swim even if there were ice floats in the water. DH and sons...think the hot tub isn't hot enough.
