Andy is such a nice man, so friendly.

I was very glad that I got the chance to meet him and Hazel.

I loved "running" into him around the ship.

It seemed that everywhere I went, he was there too.

Even if this IS my 7th Disney Cruise, it still is just as exciting as the first one.

Hi everyone I 'm glad I found this thread. Glad to find out that there will be other people on board. My husband and I have cruised before on different cruise lines but this is our first time on a Disney Cruise and we can't wait.
Isn't vacation planning so much fun and it's also fun to find out who else you'll be sailing with.

I'm off the list...had to cancel, waaaaaa!!!!! waaaaaaaa!!!

Business has not been so good this year, couple of people owing us have declared bankruptcy, which means we can kiss that money goodbye, along with the cruise.

Yes, things could be worse than not being able to go on a disney cruise, but it's still sad

You all will just have to have an extra special time for me!!!

Well, DCL website will no longer allow 1/8/06 bookings for cat 10-12, so that must mean we're starting to get booked up! Though I would by lying if I didn't say I secretly hoped that it doesn't get too booked . That's one more deck chair available to me .

Has anyone else taken advantage of the end of summer clothes clearance...since trying to find beach wear in January might be a little difficult?

Yikes...I'm getting a little worried! Just kidding...that is interesting that those categories seem to be full!! I know what you mean about the empty deck char...LOL!

Yes, I've been doing the same, trying to find summer clothes on clearance as I'm worried that I won't be able to find what I need at the end of Dec/ beginning of Jan!!

I have been keeping an eye out on the DCL site too and had noticed that there were not so many cabin categories left.

We have booked a GTY Cat 12, which we have never done before. I am hoping for an upgrade but if it doesn't happen then it really doesn't matter to us, since we are in the cabin very little except to sleep and shower and dress.

I have lost some weight in the last months and I have bought a new bathing suit this summer because I know there won't be many around here once the colder weather starts, heck you probably be hard pressed to find any now.

I am so looking forward to this cruise

Well here's my theory: this was one great price they had for the cat 12's. A little while back, they actually closed out cat 12's as available, and then went and added them as "available" again a few days later. My guess is that demand was so high for cat 12, and so low for the other cats (being early January, and most people no longer on vacation) that they accepted a ton of people in cat 12. Ergo, a whole bunch of people had to be upgraded into cat 10 & 11 (since there's only thirteen cat 12 rooms?)

Now how great would it be to be upgraded I don't hold out alot of hope since it's just DH and I, and the families will probably be upgraded first. But it would be nice

Rant about clothing: What kills me is that here, you can wear capris and shorts almost year round...yes, one week or two, you might have COLD temps, but then it's up to highs in the 70's, and who wants to wear a sweater? You can for sure swim here through September, but bathing suits go on clearance in July. Sure seems like those doofus retailers would recognize all regions are not created equally

I remember the point where the Cat 12's were there and then gone again and then returned. At the point that they were gone we booked the 3 day cruise previous to this 4 day cruise.

About 2 days after I booked the 3 day cruise, Cat 12's reappeared in the 4 day cruise so we switched over to the 4 day cruise at that time.

I live in Canada so we definitely do not get to wear shorts all year long. So if you think you are needing summer clothes in the mid winter then you better buy them in June or July.

I live about one hour across the border from Detroit, Michigan. Our summers here are long and hot, especially this year. We also get extreme cold weather.

Here's hoping we all get the upgrade pixie dust

So, I actually have a Canadian winter story

DH and I were going to go to Banff during the winter. We were living in Houston, TX at the time, and went to a store to buy ski coats in November. We're trying on these HUUUUGE jackets in the store, and we're absolutely sweating to death. Besides the fact that these gigantic things make us look like weeble wobbles with legs, both of us were thinking that we'd probably never wear these jackets b/c we'd end up a puddle.

In fact, when we got on the airplane to travel to Alberta, it was about 60 degrees in Houston.

Flash forward to Banff at negative blankity blank degrees. We're huddled together for warmth whenever we're outside, wondering how these gigantic puffy coats suddenly feel like tiny little layers of nothing. What amazed me the most is how the wind would just go wooooosh right underneath the bottom of the jacket. WOO, brrrrrrrrrrrr...

It was still an incredible trip, in fact we've gone back and forth at times about going back there or taking this trip. Talk about polar opposites for January though (pun intended) I'm sure you will really be looking forward to taking off those coats!
