January 7, 2012-- 7 night Western on the Magic!

Hey Jamesfam,

December in Orlando was freezing.

Once on the cruise the weather warmed up and was fantastic. Swam in all the ports visited and only downer was Grand Cayman where everything was cancelled due to wind. Still got to swim in the Ocean and did the pirate ship cruise which kids loved, but missed out on stingray city. We used that excuse to do cruise again.

:welcome: everyone! Wow, I haven't had much time on the boards lately due to work, but its great to come back and see that our cruise is starting to gain more people! party:

I know the group seems to be mostly adults/young adults at this point, but is anyone interested in doing fish extenders??

Hi everyone! I'm gonna be on this cruise with my family for my 21st birthday! My 21st will be on January 11 in Cozumel!

I CAN'T WAIT!!! :woohoo:

party:

:bday:

Starseeker1221, we've never been part of a fisher extender exchange and we'd really like to join in! I think it'd be fun no matter what the age =)

My partner and I will also be on this cruise... can't wait! :cool1:

We're in our late 20's, and would be interested in joining a FE group. :-)

Wow! If this cruise is like this thread it is going to be very quiet.....

is anyone starting to get excited at all?

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I am glad I am not the only one thinking this......

But hey -

hopefully as we get closer to date of embarkation, things will begin to pick up.:yay:

Me? How come I haven't been blogging in a lot on this thread?

Well.....

My dang excuse is that I am now about 900 hours away from heading off to Ireland.......:goodvibes

I do have a trip report going so feel free all to follow along in my Irish adventures if ya like.popcorn::.

After Ireland, I am headed off to Hawaii -both places I have never been to and looking foward to it. Just like Key West, etc.....never been to them as well.

But oh yes, to answer more of your comment, I feel that I can begin to pay more attention to this vacation I'd say starting around mid-July.

And yes, without giving away too much of my Jan 2012 DCL blog, you will see me doing a "Cptn Marvins" thing, Cozumel food tasting out at their park and lest we forget a sail excursion while out on Key West AND.......

I will be CAMPED OUT at the Vista Spa and Saloon (I have already pre-purchased 3 days)......

Will be also celebrating a birthday......

199 hours late (Dec 30th):lmao:.

and just mabey some tequila tasting while on board the ship:upsidedow --

---just to name a few of the things I have going on.

So, my watch is telling me it's now 5 o'clock....somewhere -

I am about to break out some key lime cookies and make a batch of 'ritas while shooting some 8-ball in my living room:).

I am a solo traveler -
on the go a lot
and having fun enjoying life.:)

P.S.

FE's sound like fun! Count me in.

HI all, we will be taking our 3rd Disney Cruise...Im so excited I could pee myself! We will be taking our daughters..10,14,and 19 and our First timers..mom and dad, brother, sister-n-law and lil nephew 2 1/2 (at time of cruise) It should be interesting since its their first time..It only took me once to fall in love with cruising Disney. Who knows..maybe I can hook them too!

Anyone else finding themselves already packing..LOL I told my husband I was putting things in a box here and there...He's like "WHAT!"...He just laughs and shakes his head. Its just so far off...I want to do little things everyday to make it seem closer.

Hope our weather is great...

See ya'all real soon!:woohoo:

We are so excited!! I can't wait for winter because that means January will be here soon :yay:

I'm excited to see some kids and older teens on the cruise. My girls will be 3, 7 and 18 and my son will be 9. I'm hoping there are some people for my oldest daughter to hang out with since she is too old for the teen club. :hippie:

I can't wait!! We are on Deck 6 like we were last time. I am so excited to do the Western Caribbean this time! I hope that the weather is fabulous in January.

Alaska is the most beautiful place I have ever been. My photos do not give it justice. It is amazing to see all of the unspoiled natural beauty within the landscape. We went in early June and had great weather. It was 72 the day we were in Skagway! The snow was melting, the sun was shining and there were waterfalls all over.

NCL was not a great choice in cruise lines but Alaska is one place that I tell everyone they need to go to at least once. The glaciers are larger than I had imagined. I loved it even though befoer I went I really wanted to go somewhere warm and tropical.

next stop ~ Western Caribbean!! I can't wait!

My husband and 2 kids (16 and 13) plus our good friends (2 adults and their sons 25 and 18) are booked on our first every Disney cruise to the Caribbean in January!

We are so excited about it and I have been finding these discussion boards so helpful and full of information.

We are coming from Australia - any other Aussie's booked? :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone next year.

I can't wait for January, and we seem to be getting a great group on this thread!!! :cool1:

I'm glad that there are others interested in doing a Fish Extender-- I will start to put together a list so that everyone has names, ages, and staterooms of those participating. Is everyone okay with posting that information on the thread, or would you rather I compile the list somewhere more secure?

For now, if you want to participate (so far I have Jamesfan, SaraSpringsIsHome, and Knewton64), please either post or PM me the names and ages in your group, and your stateroom if you know it :goodvibes

MillerWaren-- Alaska sounds wonderful, I will have to put it on my list of places to travel!

Will PM you shortly, StarSeeker.

Anyone know any sort of excursions they're thinking about? We are still researching and don't have a huge budget for things. Possibly Nachi Cocom in Cozumel, though.

So. excited. :cool1:

My wife and I will be on board! It's our second trip on the Magic. 1st was in January 2007 on the eastern cruise.

To me, I would pick atleast one shore destination and just goooo for it in as far as excursions go.

Speaking of excursions, I sure learned one thing just a few days ago (and thats with me wanting to do the Cptn Marvin Stingray tour).

** Be sure and do the "Stingray Shuffle." **

Yes, I already knew about keeping your palms up (when feeding the Rays) but I did not know to be sure and shuffle your feet while walking.

OOPS!!

Hi Everyone!

We are busy here in Ontario, Canada swatting away the mosquitos and doing a snow dance since we are experiencing a :cool1: heat wave!

We are anxiously awaiting our 5th Disney Cruise and so this upcoming August :woohoo:, we will be on the Wonder doing the Alaska cruise!

So..... tonight, my husband was surfing the Disney Cruise Lines site and decided that he thinks that January will be just be too cold  and so, booked us on this cruise! ...... so we (Mike, Monica and daughter Kimberley, who will be 14½ on this trip) are joining you!:dance3:

I'll be lurking:surfweb:for the next 2-3 months, but upon our return from Alaska, I'll check in more often to see what is happening!

Regards to all and looking forward to meeting everyone...
:tinker:Monica, Mike and Kimberley (14½)
