Hello all!!! I am a first time cruiser age 25. My sister age 18 and my boyfriend age 30 also 1st timers. My sister and I have been to the world multiple times and are disney crazies so it made since for us to go on a Disney Cruise for our first cruise! The boyfriend has never done anything disney at all and I fact this is our first vacation after 6 years dating. We will not be doing the FE as I feel overwhelmed just planning the regular stuff! Any tips would be amazing!! My boyfriend and sister have left EVERYTHING to me. We wanna do something different in Nassua... Super excited!!

Hi there!! This is our very first Disney cruise and we are sooooo excited!! It is my sister and I, and we are surprising my 11 yr old niece! My sister lives on the west coast, and I on the east coast, so at Christmas time every year we meet at Disneyworld for a week. We decided, since my niece has been researching the cruises for months and praying really hard that she can go one day next summer, we would surprise her! She thinks we are meeting in January to do our normal week together, and we are going to have a few days before the cruise at Universal, and then the morning we sail, we are going to tell her we are heading to Disney, and she is going to FLIP OUT when we pull up to the ship!!

Anyway, I am really shy, but my sister is totally outgoing and loves meeting new people, so I am soooo glad you guys are all here!! We want to join the FE party, but I have a few questions!

Do we get gifts for every cabin participating or do we pick some and not others? Trying to get an idea of how much stuff to make/bring!!

Someone mentioned a dolphin excursion? how do I find out about that?

I am getting ready to book today, but am a bit nervous about the floor that we are on... I get really motion sick so want to be where there is the least motion... any suggestions?

Do we get gifts for every cabin participating or do we pick some and not others?

Participating in the FE means at least one gift for each cabin or family (some families are in two cabins). Larger groups have sometimes broken into smaller groups (the WBPC this year had something like 100 cabins), but so far we are manageable at ~20 cabins. Picking and choosing means not everyone would be guaranteed equal participation, so it's important to cover everyone.

Also, it important to remember that FE is meant to be fun. Gifts do not need to be expensive or elaborate or personalized, which sometimes isn't made clear. Some people choose to go above and beyond, but it's not required. As soon as FE becomes stressful it loses its pixie dust.

Ok, we are getting pretty close now with November just around the corner. It seems like an age ago that I started this thread

I'm going to close the list on Friday 6th December, roughly 4 weeks before we set sail. This will give everyone plenty of time to organise all of my gifts

I will produce on the 9th of December a full list (hopefully printable) and a deck plan marking all the cabins taking part.

We are now at 24 cabins and having experienced FE before there is often a rush towards deadline date. So what I propose is if we go over 40 cabins I will split the FE into 2 groups of 20+ each. If I do split it will be a random split (not by deck) as part of the fun of FE is discovering areas of the ship you wouldn't normally go to. (hope that makes sense)

Also what about an FE meet sometime on the cruise ? On another FE meet we took part in some time ago we met a lovely couple from the states who we still keep in contact with.

Thoughts / comments ?

That all sounds great. Very organized, the map will be very helpful A meet would be very nice. How do you usually do a meet?
