I flew into Palm Springs on my way to 29 Palms when I was a Marine. Hope everyone's Xmas was as great as ours, Have a safe & fun New Year's. Not long to the one year mark. We are at 35 days for our b2b 2/03 & 2/10, we're very excited

I have been reading lots of trip reports lately. I have never been to St. Thomas or St. Maarten so will be spending the next year learning about them.

You weren't too far from where I'm at. I live about 30 miles west of Palm Springs.

Our DD was admitted to the hospital Thursday at 7am to have her baby, the Dr warned it would be a long day. We arrived at 3pm and had a pool on birth time 10pm 10:30pm & 11pm those times came and went at 12:45am the Dr decided to take the baby so away they went and only the Husband could be with her, we were so looking forward to seeing the baby being born. Ian Thomas made his grand entrance at 1:34am Jan 5th 2007 at 7lbs 15ozs and 21 inches. The handsomest baby this side of the Chinese wall. We got to see him for a minute before leaving. Got home at 3am and up at 6am. Went back to the Hospital at 10am an got to hold the grandson. Wow!! It was unreal how proud the kids were. Makes me remember how I was when my kids were born, isn't it what life is about?

getting off the plane in Palm Springs and the heat that hit me, I thought it was from the jet engines. The first morning at revely I worn my best combat boots, I'd spent months polishing them to a high shine. When I went to take them off the polish had completely melted off. Haven't thought about that for years. the next year I was transfered to Bridgeport Calif. Cold weather training center, 15 feet of snow the year round, go figure.

358 days WOW. Looking forward to a repro from Calif to PC We missed it in 2005, but we did get to sail on the Mexican Riveria cruise.

Hopefully we will still get to join everyone on this cruise. We have made some major decisions this past week and I will be quitting my job this spring (of 7 years) to join my husband in his photography/graphic design business.

So we will see how things go. I had planned on paying for all of this cruise myself over the next 9 months. If business goes well we will continue, otherwise I may have to push back my ressie for later in the 2008 (maybe fall?).

The good news is my old job was very restrictive and there were only certain times I could take off for a vacation and now we will be much freer to choose a date.

I think the repo cruise really sounds cool!! Wish that would be an option for us. I will be watching when the new dates come up to see if there is an alternative for us later in the year... just in case.

Trust your instincts. Things will work out. As I look back on all the things I worried about in my life, that was a real waste of time. You work hard, good things will happen. I had six of my own businesses, the first 5 were practice. Good things happen to people the work hard and treat thier customers right. Good Luck. Work hard worry less.

Thanks for the encouraging words! We're giving it all we've got. I'm just a little up in the air on whether I can quit work entirely. I'm employed for the next few months either way....

We're going to a marketingseminar in Las Vegas at the end of the month- hopefully will get some new ideas that will help us turn the corner...

We will not be booking this cruise, we lucked out and were able to get on the East bound Panama Canal cruise in August 2008. From all the interest that was stirred up I never dreamed we'd get on. It took 2hours 30 minutes of holding on to get 4 guarantee cat 11 cabins. Everyone is really excited. We will miss you all, have a grand voyage.

Too bad... . I too had thought of doing this but DW is a 2nd grade teacher and will be in school during both repos.

So instead we will do our own land/sea stay. I think we will head down on 12/31 and do WDW before the cruise.

Sorry to hear that! But congrats as that sounds like a really neat cruise! I'd love to see the Panama Canal!

Well Austin, you better be a great kid, because I'm going to tell you that my niece who will be 13 in a couple weeks will be on the same cruise as you. She is fabulous. She is also absolutely beautiful and with that said you should also know that she is traveling with her parents, a brother, myself and my family (my husband and 2 kids), her 2 grandparents, her great aunt and companion, and several family friends. The men in my family are very large and strong!! Her name is Lindsey and she is excited to get to know you and any other teens that will be on board. If you have any contact info. I would be happy to pass it along to her parents to give to her.
