JANUARY 5th 2008

Just wanted to post a quick note that my wife and I will be joining everyone on this cruise! We are both super excited and can't wait!!!

Welcome HuskerMickey!...Lots of us are going to WDW first..how bout you?...and is this your first cruise?..it is our first.

I've been lurking ever since we had to cancel this cruise. I will miss not being with you but the repro cruise was too good to pass up. We did have enough points to pay for the whole family. DVC is great. We now have been baby sitting the new grandson for two months. He is now 17lbs and such a happy child. No problem for us whatsoever. We will be thinking of you. Have a great cruise. We leave on the Crown Princess in 71 days. :cool1:

Thanks for the welcome newbydisney, yes, this is our first cruise together as well. (First cruise period I guess I should say)

We are leaving Nebraska on Wednesday the 2nd, right now I think the plan is to check out those "other" parks in the orlando vacinity. My wife's father is a member of the DVC and aside from not only getting married at the Swan hotel (next to the boardwalk where we were able to accomodate our entire wedding party) and since then we have taken another family trip to the magic kingdoms so this time we wanted to check out the neighboring facilities.

Hi all,
We have just booked this cruise so thought i'd drop in to say hello to everyone.
There's me Samantha (Sam) and my DH Colin. This is our 5th Disney cruise (third on the Magic).
We will be coming from the uk and staying at SSR before the cruise and BCVs after for a few days (DVC members).
Our room is on deck 5 and we have late seating for dining.

Welcome aboard Tiggery.
Looks like we have a lot of people going to WDW before the cruise, and Deck 5 is going to be the place to be. We, my DW and I are, also, on Deck 5 and have late seating. This is our 4th Magic cruise.

I believe that we are on Deck 7 but we are on the late seating.

For any of you repeat cruisers, have you ever cruised during this time of the year before? I'm curious as to what the weather might bring.

It's official as of today!! It looks like our family will be joining you all for this cruise too!!

This will be Nana's 60th birthday celebration as well as a family reunion! There will be 12 of us total. DH, myself and our three, DD age 6, DD age 3 and DS age 2. Hubby's brother and wife with their DD age 7. Hubby's other brother and wife with their DD age 3. And last but not least, Nana who will be.........well I guess she wouldn't want me to go on and on about her age. ;)

HuskerMickey
My wife and I have cruised this same cruise the past three years and the weather has always been very nice. One year it was quite cold in Port Canaveral but the rest of the cruise was perfect. Last year we got a small amount of rain the morning at Snt Maarten.:

Thanks for the information!

We couldn't decide exactly which of the January cruises to take, but in the end we didn't think that we could wait any longer so we took the first one!

I'm getting super excited and its still 6 months away!

I went last year for new years eve and it was very humid ,but had a nice breeze. Lets just say, I liked to go inside!

Deck 5 ..definitely ....Welcome Kellyski and Tiggery..We ( a "mature" couple from Seattle) are also going to SSR arrive Jan 1st. From the cruise we will spend a few days in West Palm..have family there..and a great B and B.
We are dining at 6pm at Boma on Friday evening...might be fun if a few others booked similar times...we could meet...? any ideas ??anybody want to schedule any other meets ...a Deck 5 meet for sure sounds like a plan...seems a few of us are at SSR..

Just dropping by for a quick hello to everyone, still super excited about our first cruise!

I am excited too:woohoo:
anyone out there? There hasn't been any talking for a while.;)

Hello from Maine! We have a group of 7 going on this cruise. For 2, it will be a first cruise. :)

Before you know it, fall will be here. Then we will be getting into winter...then woohoo, cruise time! :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say HI to all our fellow ship mates! We joined DVC in June & decided to get our feet wet ;) with a cruise. It will be myself, DH & DS (7 yrs old). DH & I have been on one cruise (Paul Gaugin(sp?)) before and was not disappointed but not going out of our way to book another. Now that our little one is good to go with all things Disney, we know he will love it & we can try & pretend to be a "couple". As a lot of you are doing we will be staying at SSR two days beforehand & one day after.
Being our first Disney, any ideas?
Any transportation options beyond the $70 Disney one?
Later,

Transportation: I think it might be cheaper to rent a car one way for a family than pay for the Disney transport...not sure... but if you have any corporate discounts or AAA I would check that out. We are sharing a rented car with someone ....others may want to explore that idea ...if you are staying at the same places and have children same ages it could be fun!! Everyone post your ideas here!! Anyone want to schedule at meet maybe at SSR before the cruise?
