I got the 1:30 time thank god cuz now it is sold out...speaking of did/is anyone doing the online check that they do 36 hrs before? I was thinking of doing it for the way home so I dont have to worry while we are in CC. Sorry those flying with Southwest.

We are doing the early check-in. After seeing about 5 families get split up over the last week flying, I want to make sure we can sit together! Feel so bad for the ones who have little ones, and although there are a lot of people who will move to allow them to sit together, there are also a lot that won't.

My husband has to work the next morning after we get back late Saturday night. He works 12 hour shifts too. Our flight to Buffalo isn't leaving Orlando until 5:00 at night, waited to long to book a home flight. The 1:30 would have been better. The drive home from Buffalo will be close to 3 hours depending on traffic that is.

We leave Wed the 26th and will be doing Universal Thursday and Friday.

Looks like we possibly are on the same return flight . I am just hoping the border is good with minimal delays as it is Superbowl weekend. We are about three hours home as well Sat night.

Have you done Universal before? this is our first time. It seems that there are only a few cool rides outside of HP.....spiderman and the Hulk.

We just made dinner plans for Hard Rock on Friday evening.....my kids always love that place

They have one now that you pay $10. ea and they check you in 36hrs, they do it before the 24 hr mark...is there somewhere on CC that have computers to check us in online???? I always do it at the Disney parks and hotels but dont know about CC? Thanks

Make sure you look at the border web site before you leave to get an idea which bridge is the better one to use to cross in or out of Buffalo. www.mobile.peacebridge.com
it tells you the wait time on each of the 3 bridges. Often you will find the Lewiston Bridge has a longer wait especially coming into Canada as most GPS units will send people to that bridge instead of the Peace bridge.

What day does everyone START their vacation - meaning they leave home!

My date is Wednesday January 26th - its only to Buffalo to stay overnight in a hotel - but its still our official start!

We leave for Buffalo On January 27th, spending the night and our flight leaves bright and early Friday morning.

for us is Tuesday February 8th - should be home in mid afternoon!

We leave Tuesday Feb 8th as well but our flight leaves later. Haven't decided if we will spend another night in Buffalo or just head home. We prob won't get home until midnight though.

I think our return flight is around 4 and we are on Southwest. I think I will get someone from home to do the online check-in for us 24 hours ahead. We are not bringing a laptop so this is the easiest thing I can think of to do. We shouldn't have too many problems with seating, as we are traveling with small children and can pre-board between A and B if we don't get an A boarding. I will keep my fingers crossed!

Thats why now they are selling the 1800 number and the web site so people can check just as they are heading into the St Catharines area to determine which way to go.

NO DELAYS on any bridge right now!

Dont know if I trust anyone to check in at the 24hr mark like I would....my friend is the only one I would trust as she does it for herself...only thing is she may be busy with the kids she babysits at that time . But now that you guys mention it I think I will ask her.....

My parents also live in Florida (The Villages), but we are only staying with them a couple days before the cruise. Before my oldest son was in school we used to visit them every year in February/March just to escape the horrible weather here.

Speaking of horrible weather- Evan has another day off of school today due to snow, sleet/freezing rain. With being sick, this makes 1 full week that he has not been to school. He will only be back for 7 days before he is out again for our vacation and missing another 6!
