Have we decided where/when to do a link up?? Maybe we could get together the first morning?? It might be a lot to try and do a link-up on the first evening with arrival/door decorating/sail away party/life-boat drill/and early dinner. It has been 4 years, but I remember the first afternoon feeling really rushed and then it was time for dinner/show/bed. I would like to meet and thought it would be fun to do it sooner in the cruise - especially if for some reason we have someone get a different cabin.

The different cabin thing is my little fantasy. I just picture us arriving at port and for some unknown reason being told we have been upgraded from our Cat 6 balcony to a suite Or actually it would just be nice to get a Cat 4 since it makes for much more room for the pack-n-play Of course this fantasy is probably just as likely as me becoming best friends with Ellen Degeneres or Jon Stewart or having to decide between my DH and Brad Pitt!!!

Just booked flights for the cruise! Wooo! Getting in the night before and leaving the day after. (Last minute change!)

So we are staying at Beach Club villas the night before and staying at the Wilderness Lodge the day we return from the cruise.

I was naughty and spent a few hours at work last Friday making the adult FE gift. (To be fair, I work overnights and everyone was sleeping so it was either that or watch movies on netflix...ohwait, I did that too. )

I think I want your job. I work nights as well but dont get much down time

*grins* It's my 2nd job. I work at a Brain Injury Rehab Facility...kind of like a group home.It doesn't pay as well as my main job but for the most part, it's sit and watch movies and redirect someone every few hours back to their room.

My main job is also overnights but I never get any downtime..it's at a hospital on a medical telemetry floor.

Option 2. Meet on the ship at 3:00 (before the mandatory lifeboat drill)
Option 3. Meet on the ship after the late dinner around 10pm
Option 4. Meet on Sunday in the morning say around 11am
Option 5. Meet on Sunday around noon for lunch
Option 6. Meet on Sunday in the afternoon sometime - say around 2pm

People can vote for more than 1 option if they are OK with 2 or 3 options. That way we will know if there are some options that definately are not liked.

FYI I changed my vote. I just remembered that I don't really want to meet at the port. No one in my family except DH knows about the entire FE thing!! I am surprising my in-laws....I am going to head down and decorate their entire door, put up their FE and then put in their first gift (which is everyone elses first gift too!!)) I have been very busy doing two entire sets of FE gifts for my in-laws cabin!!

I just read one of the main boards.............everyone on it was saying that the water at Castaway Cay in February is freezing - that there are very few people who can get into the water.

Thats not good - we were there in August 2007 and the water at CC was one of the highlights of the trip.......I am now concerned my whole family is going to be disappointed.

Thats not good - we were there in August 2007 and the water at CC was one of the highlights of the trip.......I am now concerned my whole family is going to be disappointed.

Yep it can be pretty cold. We did most of our cruises at this time. Once it was pretty darn cold and wind that we couldn't even stay on the beach. But two years ago in Dec. it wasn't cold

I had heard that Florida might be cold but that once we leave the Port, the water and air temperature shoudl be pretty good.

OMG - my Better Half is going to freak out on me if we spend all this money and we spend our time in sweaters.

Not sure when to meet. Looks like most want to meet on Sunday. I do not think we should do anything like a lunch though. You can not talk to everyone in this kind of setting. Meeting in one of the lounges during the day would be better I think. This way you can stay as long as you want....if that makes sense.

It is not always like that though. It is like the people that go to WDW just before Christmas and it was freezing there. Like I said it was only once out of four times it was too cold. The other times we played in the sand with the kids, read a book in a hammock etc.

The water is very salty too. My son didn't like swimming it But that is just him. Lots were in the water.

You won't be in sweaters. It is really warm in St Martin. I do find the dining room cool the first night though.

The Bahamas (where CC is) are right off the Florida coast so the temp is pretty close to the temp in Miami. St Maartin and St. Thomas should be warmer with an average temp in the mid 70s in January. The Western Caribbean is always warmer than the Eastern, but it will still be nice - just plan on layers for theBahamas and Florida!!
