January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

My FE gifts are all done!! And yes, I use the Ziploc per cabin method - and sort them by deck. Last cruise there were over 50 cabins participating - it was a lot of work but oh so much fun. Our DIS group was huge - someone even went to all the trouble of making us our own Mini Navigator. Really neat!!

Just a suggestion - if your cabin changes once you get to port (ie. you purchase an upgrade or maybe you get some pixie dust) and you are worried about letting us know, I will have a whiteboard on my cabin door. (7528). Feel free to leave a message to the group about the cabin change.

Just realized that DH has our big suitcase with him on business & I won't get it back until the Sunday before we leave :scared1:. How is a Type A person like myself supposed to pack?!! I may have to go buy a new one....

Christmas decorations have been taken down, kidlets are back at school and all is right in the world again... :laundy:

Cheers,
Lisa

MINE ARE ALL DONE TOO!!!! ZIPLOCKED AND ALL!!!!! I am sitting having a cup of tea, then off to get the kids at school, then going to my friends for some (who am I kidding) lots of junk food and The Bachelor, I dont really watch it but she does so what the heck.....:rolleyes1 I would rather watch Canada and the USA battle it out in the semi finals!!!!

I am almost all done my FE's too. I've packaged them, but not in ziploc baggies...what a good idea.

It's snowing in Ottawa! First time we've had snow since Dec 14-I know this because it's the day I took my parents to the airport. Don't know if it's going to stay. We'll see! It's way more exciting having snow, knowing we'll be leaving in 25 sleeps!!!!! :rotfl:

anyone want to place bets on what we will get to by the time we cruise?

I bet we hit at least 1750

I am predicting that we hit the 2000 post mark before we sail. Today was a very busy day on the board.:surfweb: It just is showing how excited everyone is getting about the cruise. :woohoo: Congrats 5 Boyz on your 3rd post. :cheer2:

just watched a video of the horn battle between the magic and the dream... awesome!:thumbsup2

We are working on are FE gifts. I haven't started the FE yet. I'm hoping it goes together easily, if not I will have to buy something that works. Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for the fe? tia

My mom is making my FE - I can't wait to see what it looks like!

The photobucket account - I have updated my Word document - if anyone else wants a copy that has NOT given me their e-mail address, let me know. I'll probably send it out to everyone again tomorrow. If you already gave me your e-mail, no worries, I will send it to you.

We have never been to St. Maarten or St. Thomas & a little nervous about going out on our own. We know we want to get our son (9) to the beaches & we all want to go shopping. Does anyone know where the Magic docks at both ports? Does anyone have any suggestions, we would take any help we can get! thanks! :)

Watching Canada give USA a wumping right now!!! Apparently the crowd ratio is 75% Canada, 25% USA for this game!

In St. Thomas there are 5 families that are doing EEE Tours. http://www.eeetours.com/index.html

We are doing option 2 - but I believe it is actually a private tour with just us on it. The price is $35/person ($25/child 5-11). If you would like to join us (or anyone else), let me know asap - I am going to be sending him a e-mail this week and I can let him know to have room for a couple extra people (the more the merrier!)

Where did you find the pics of the wristbands?? My kids hate wearing the plastic ones you get at water parks for the day, so this might not go over well to strap something to them for a week. Plus DD gets horrible rashes - her skin reacts to everything. I am definately going to have to prepare everyone for this and need to see a pic so I know what to expect!!!

are they optional or required bands?

The beaches are gorgeous in St Maartin and its a very friendly island.......not sure which one we are going to yet but I am sure others will suggest. Just be careful with a 9 year old boy you dont go to the Nude Beaches - you might not get him to leave! LOL (my 11 year old son woudl die of embarrassment at that type of beach)

No they are not optional. They have to wear them. On the thread I started a lady said she put it on her dd leg instead of her wrist.

They need to know who the child is and who they belong too. That is all on the bands. This goes for a lost child on the boat too. This band now has a tracker in it unlike the old bands that were just like any other water park with info on it .

Thanks a ton, sounds like fun but hubby really wants to stay with DCL excursions our first time. He read way too many threads about people being left at port. :scared1:
