Is anyone renting a car while in Florida to take them to the Port?

I am trying to decide between Avis and Budget.....Budget is a bit cheaper but I want the one that will make my life easiest.....any comments?



Also - what about from the ship to the Airport afterwards. last time my Mother picked us up - this time we want to book a car to take us as our flight is pretty early - I think around 1130am. Any suggestions?

We are renting from Budget, found a better deal than Avis on line for the way there. We are using DIS transportation back, but our flight is much later than yours.

Hi hope everyone had a great Christmas. We did! Just got back from Buffalo, took the kids shopping plus 3 of my boys went to the Canada World Jr game vs Norway....they had a great time, they met James Duthie and Bob Mackenzie, got their pictures taken and autographs....my youngest son got his pics taken with Bob at the TSN sports desk on the site at the area, James took the pics.....lol!!!! My youngest son is nuts......

So excited now about the cruise dont know if I can hold on any longer.....

My kid's godparents live in Lakeland (about half-way between Orlando and Tampa) and they are meeting us there. Hopefully the kids aren't so exhausted from the cruise that they whine the entire time at Sea World!!! That is why we have a car though - if it becomes too much we can just leave. I hope it is easy to get the van to buget. Plannin on sending DH and FIL to get the two cars (it was cheaper to rent 2 for the 8 of us then one van - go figure)

I agree - I was surprised by the courier but its a nice way to make a big deal out of it

OMG I know where Lakeland is...we stopped there in Aug on our way from disney back to Tampa airport. We went to McDonalds, then the grocery store, I had no idea where we were and I asked the cashier.....lol, she told me Lakeland 1/2 between Orlando and Tampa......LOL!!!! You just never know what kids are going to be like...... I do believe it is cheaper to rent 2 cars than 1 van.

OH that is too bad, well you can party like a rock star on the cruise..... It doesnt look like we are going out either, this will be our first time not going anywhere in 20 something years...... Hope everyone has a great time and be safe.......

Yes, we are having a pretty quiet New Years. We usually don't do to much. Kids are all off now to there parties (both out of town) and don't really expect to see them again this year. Going out to dinner with friends then taking in a show. Hoping to see "Little Fockers" as I hear is is hilarious

The boys had a blast!!! Yes we went to Walden Galleria and Boulevard Mall too.
Today will be exciting who is going to end up first Canada or Sweden??? Yes we are a BIG hockey family....... , It's the Canadian way eh!!!

I work in a retirement home., I look after giving the residents their medications.Hopefully there will be a few of them that will stay up until after midnight to ring in the new year! Im looking forward to the party on the boat!
