January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Here we haven't even been on our first cruise yet and I'm investigating options for another. :lmao:

I'm thinking the March 18, 2012 on the Wonder...it's a Mexican Riviera out of LA. Throw in a few days to Disneyland beforehand. It's the week of my Spring Break. Hopefully prices stay decent until we get on board and we can get the discount, OBC, and discounted deposit.

DH and I have been talking about taking an Alaskan cruise - it appeals more to him than me, but if it gets me on a boat, it has to be ok, right?

What is it with husbands and Alaska? Chris had Alaska high on his list but I convinced him to wait until the verandah is more affordable since I've read that you really want one on the Alaskan cruise. *whew* But I agree, getting on the boat is all that matters. We looked at a Western on the Fantasy, but the price is several thousand more and I couldn't justify it to myself.

Mine wants Alaska too!! I told him we needed to wait until the kids are older because they should at least be old enough to enjoy sight-seeing!

I am looking at cruises in 2012 too!! Decided to work with a TA and sent her an email this morning with some timeframes!!

Totally agree about the kids factor.

That is one of the cruises I have been pricing...My 40th Birthday is on March 18, and I would love to be on the Magic, Dream or Wonder to celebrate! You will definately be addicted once you board and will want to book another!

WOO HOO - we just booked our flights.

We leave on Tuesday the 25th at 5pm out of Buffalo on Southwest.

We are spending Wednesday at Universal - never been there but extremely excited about Harry Potter. After a fun day, heading to my parents place in Okeechobee.

Spending Thurs and Fri with my parents - thats all I can take as their place is pretty small and my Mom chain smokes (Neither of us have ever smoked in our lives so it kind of gets to us after a while - my kids get really bothered as well).

Then we will head to the coast on Saturday morning.

We head home the following Saturday on the 11:50am flight to Buffalo on Southwest.

YEAH:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hi there! Ok so I guess 11:50am flight is ok....still have time to get to airport and all that stuff? When I booked my cruise I asked the earliest time to book my flight and she said 12:30pm. I was looking at the same flight you are on but it has gone up now so I will wait and see if it goes down. My dh wants to leave ASAP to get home when we get off the ship.......:confused3

I have been watching Southwest each day for the last 3 weeks.....their prices change often. my trip has been as low as $790 and as high as $1010 for the 4 of us. The other night it was down to $870 which was the lowest it had been in a while so I grabbed. Its back up to $920 today. I dont get that!!!

Our last cruise, we stuck around to spend time with my Mother so we took a late flight - around 430pm - we were so exhausted by the time we got home we were a wreck. We decided that we were taking the first flight we coudl to get home. I think my son is hoping to play hockey on Sunday morning.

I have heard from many people that I will have no problem making the 1150 flight as long as I get up in the morning and get going. The Orlando airport is a very efficient airport! If we miss it - they will probably just bump us to the next flight.

Ok will keep that in mind!

Where does your son play hockey? What level? How old? LOL!!! Sorry my boys played rep for Brampton. My youngest one plays AA Bantam (1996) for Mississauga Jets.

I notice you are from my area - we live just outside of Ft. Belvoir. We are hoping we don't get the snow we had last year!! Right now, we aren't coming down until the morning of our cruise (flying direct out of Reagan). But I plan on watching the weather closely and if it looks like it will be snowing at all, I am going to either change our flights to earlier, or jump in the car or on the train so we don't miss our cruise!! I can't "plan" on leaving on Friday (or earlier) because I don't want my son to miss that much school - right now he is only missing 3 days because it is tied to a teacher work day. But, if the weather looks bad, we'll be loading up Thursday night for the drive down!!

When I was in college, my parents took us on a Disney trip and cruise. At that time, it was "the big red boat". We left Spokane, WA and it was 35 and arrived in Orlando and it was in the 20s. It was the same - not enough blankets, no heat on the ship, etc. I think it is about once every 20 years or so it gets that cold!!!

Oh, I know. 4 feet of snow for this area was nuts! We will be watching the weather very closely.

My son just plays house league hockey (Minor PeeWee) and soccer but plays Rep Volleyball (Markham Stingers). My daughter plays Rep Soccer with the Unionville Strikers. She also dances competitively with AB Dance in Markham. I also have a neice that is 18 that lives with me (since she was 6) but she will not be on the cruise. She does competitive Bowling.

I swear some days I am exhausted from all the running around. For example this Sunday. Avery has Soccer from 9-10 and then dance from 1145-315. Spencer has Hockey from 1000-1130 plus volleyball from 3-430. Vanessa is in a Bowling Tournament in Newmarket from 830-noon. I havent even figured out how I am going to get everyone to where they are supposed to be. My Better Half HATES running the kids anywhere and will only do if I can prove that it is physically impossible for me to do it all. So my job on saturday night will be mapping out where I have to be and when to get it all juggled. Thank God that is not a normal Sunday - tournaments always mess me up a bit! And watch out on the days that a Birthday Party invite gets thrown in there! LOL

So a lot of the Magic staff are moving to the Dream in December.....I hope the remaining staff will be ready for us in January.

Just ordered some really cute Minnie Mouse birthday supplies for DD's 2nd birthday!

Congratulations!!!!! :cool1:

All three of us have received our passport cards too! :)
Getting super excited! :cloud9: Already booked our direct flight, so now just need to do Friday night hotel & transportation. ;)
