January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Hi there,

You've answered one part of what I've been curious about! I am always curious about screen names. When I saw a while ago, and on the FE, that you had three children, you peaked my curious nature! The obvious answer in my house would be: only two are brats! :lmao:

I don't mean to offend in any way-just my silly sense of humour.

And our DD Lauren 14 BTW. :) We have a 19 DS who we are leaving at home.

Joelle

Nope all three are brats!! :rotfl: no offence taken!! I have had this screen name FOREVER long before my daughter. Just easier to keep it then change it. Just think of it as MOM to Brats instead of just 2 LOL

We fly out at 5:00 on the 26th.

It is snow like mad right now. Just got back from looking at the high school. My son goes next year. And they want them to have their course picked by the end of the month. Can I say Stressful! We are not even sure if he want to do the public or Catholic one. He is in Catholic right now.

Tiffany hope all goes will with your travels. We flying out early enough if there are delays but we can't be delayed on the way back.

Its tough nowadays looking at high schools - I dont remember having so much selection.....Spencer is only Grade 6 but our city has a lot of specialty High Schools so his options are:
- Bill Crothers HS which is a Sports high school
- Unionville which is an Arts high school (spencer loves drama)
- Markham HS which offers teh Gifted program that he is in now and is an overall well rounded school
- Bur Oak which is our local HS
- The Catholic HS which is an excellent school - very well rounded

we got some time but I am leaning towards Markham High as it has a well rounded program and high academic standads

I am sure you will be fine with your afternoon flight.:thumbsup2 They are so used to dealing with weather and snow removal. We are flying out of Buffalo later that day so really hoping the weather is fine as well.:goodvibes

OK glad I am not the only one flying the day before! I keep thinking that I shouldn't worry cause there are so many people who fly in the morning of the cruise... that flying the day before is already building in a buffer. But I am just so used to not having to think about it at all

I'm actually going there bcz I am interviewing for a job so I am already going to be nervous enough about that... and then this on top of it. I hope I don't make myself ill with worry.

Good luck with your job interview! I'm sure you will do great! But wait....if you get a job in Cleveland, will you still be able to live so close to Disney? :confused3

LOL yes the job is still down here in FL. One of the managers (the hiring manager) is down here (about 2 minutes walk from my desk to his office now) but his boss and someone else are in Cleveland and they are doing interviews as well. Apparently they want them in person and not via phone... kind of a pain but I think I present better in person anyways. The job can be in either Cleveland or FL so I will be as close to Disney as I am now. It's just a lateral move but in a different department and would give me some highly marketable skills to add to my resume... not to mention changing things up a bit would be nice.

And thank you... I think it's more a matter of who I am up against... which I can't really do much about. But I will try my best! Man it would stink if I went all the way there, didn't get the job, AND missed the boat.

Whew! I was worried, trading in Florida for Cleveland :scared1: Just kidding, sometimes a change is exactly what is needed!

Just think though, it could be great, you could go all the way there, get the job, and be on the boat to celebrate! :cheer2:

lol - yup... only I won't find out that day. They have to all get together and compare interviews and stuff... so I will just be stuck wondering while on the ship :)

I traded in Cleveland for FL about 2.25 years ago when I transferred down for this job... not willing to pick up and abandon paradise :)

BTW - I used to live in St Charles :)

Yeah, that's the way it usually works. I don't blame you, if I could figure out how to live somewhere warm (and close to Disney), I'd be there!

St. Charles IL or MO?

MO!

I like old St. Charles :)

I don't like Earth City tho... does it still smell?

Yeah we got really lucky trading in the north for the south... I took a lateral move that paid for my relocation in lieu of a raise (but then I got promoted a few months later). My husband was able to transfer his job as well and it just happened to be at the end of our lease. It was meant to be!

Yeah, St. Charles is really nice! Have you heard about New Town (close to St. Charles)? It is a really neat concept, instead of building a subdivision, they built a community with shops, restaurants, entertainment. It is really in the middle of a cornfield, but a neat place.

Yeah, the trash dump next to Riverport! Well, at least it is Riverport to me, and always will be. I think it might be called the Verizon center or something like that now :confused3

Nope I left in 2004 and haven't been back. It sounds like a neat concept tho :) Sounds like it can be noisy at night and noone would care

I am pretty sure adventure_woman posted a question about St. Maarten on the main board and got a few suggestions. Orient beach was one of them, but looked like there were other suggestions.
