January 28, 2012-do you believe in MAGIC?

super cute! I love it!!!

Thanks, Angie.
I actually meant to say I saw it on another thread, but I think you knew what I meant.
Feel free to copy it and use it if you'd like.
It was passed around on the other thread, so it's not like I own it or anything. :)

Hmm....I wonder if I could find that paper that makes iron-on transfers and make it into a t-shirt? (Just thinking out loud.)

I saw this on another list and borrowed it. I couldn't copy the font the same way as the original sign, so I had to change it. I think it turned out well. What do you think?

I love it!!! Great job!

Aw, shucks, thanks.
Can you tell I'm excited? I'm already making my door signs. I'm going to work on my fish extender after the embroidery disks I ordered arrive and I also plan on trying to make t-shirt transfers, or possibly I'll embroider those, too.
My DD wants a shirt with the DCL badge with her name on it and that she's celebrating her 15th birthday. I've already designed the badge, I just have to get the iron-on transfer paper and a shirt. I don't think I'll be able to embroider that.

We are excited too! You are the coolest Mom for making her shirt--what a great way to celebrate her birthday. We celebrated (surprised)my DD's 13th on our last cruise and she loved it. DD and DS are staying at home this time, as we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. I made our FE for our repo cruise and it was very simple. I am not very crafty, but it worked. It was our first FE exchange and we had fun going around delivering stuff. We enjoyed looking at everyone's FEs. Yours sounds like it will be really neat- can't wait to see it.

About door signs....can you tell me where you're getting graphics and are you printing them yourself and then do you just glue it all onto magnetic paper or something? I really want to decorate our door but it's been 3 years since our last Disney cruise and we've moved since then and I can't find any of the old magnets. Wow, those are some really poorly constructed sentences but you get my drift!

:cool1: Glad to see I am not the only one super excited about the upcoming cruise! I have already designed & ordered my FE. I have also come up with ideas for a few gifts I am going to make, and a few possible gifts I might make.

Is it just me, or does it seem like time is draaaaaaaaaging?!? It's weird because it seems like this year has gone by fast, but my cruise countdown clock seems to be have gotten stuck on "Too many days to go!" because it has been the same amount of days left for the past 6 months! LOL :upsidedow

I'm getting my graphics on this board, of course. I searched for door signs and came up with quite a list. I went through the lists and chose what I wanted. Two good threads are:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1959841
(Marion's DISigns...!)

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2745821
(Cruise Magnet Graphics and Links Part 6)

I plan to print mine on plain paper, probably laminate them, then stick magnets to the back. I could probably print them right onto magnetic paper, as you suggested. That's a good idea. There is also a thread for Mickey ears so you can decorate the door number. That's Stateroom Mickey Ears and then some... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2172891

There's some great stuff on this board - tons of stuff from which to choose. If you search the web for Walt Disney script or Waltfont, you can find a free download of the Disney font so you can use that. There's one website that lists all the fonts used at all the parks and resorts. That's http://mickeyavenue.com/fonts/disney-fonts-list/

You can find Waltfont there. It will install in Windows XP, but I haven't been able to get it to install in Vista. It comes with instructions.

Hope this helps and you're able to make some great magnets and signs. If you can, post what you make. I'd love to see it.:)

:hourglass :upsidedow I hate the waiting too! It's like come on I just want to get on that boat already! :boat: I was just thinking yesterday, "Man, I wish I was on my cruise today!" :goodvibes Well, at least we are under the 200 mark! Wish it was under the week mark though

Yeah, I wish it was under the week mark too. The anticipation is part of the fun though. :) I just hope the week we're on the cruise doesn't go by too fast.

Me too! This is only my 2nd DCL. My first was only the 3 day and it was over in a flash! 2 of the days you were in port so you didn't have much ship time, and we were runnng around the ship trying to fit everything in the tight schedule. By the time you started to get into the swing of things, it was time to pack up & leave the next day. We decided no more short trips like that, it's too much rushing and you miss a lot of stuff on the ship itself.

So it's nice to know that on the 7 day we will get 3 whole days just at sea where I can have time to enjoy everything the ship has to offer :boat:

The nice thing about this cruise is the 2 sea days at the beginning-lots of time to relax. I hate to say that I could never do a 4 day again, the longer cruises have spoiled me. We did the 11 night Med cruise last year and it was not long enough. The port days were really busy, so much to see and do. Our repo cruise was enjoyable with the 2 days in San Francisco, not so much a rush to do everything in 1 day. So I am really looking forward to this cruise, especially with the hectic fall and Christmas season coming up. Now if it would just get here.............

DisPrincess26, I see on the FE list that you are just one room down from us. We will be neighbors. :thumbsup2

I noticed that :thumbsup2 Well, that will be convienent won't it? ;)

Have you ever cruised with DCL before?

I agree, I have only taken one DCL and it was on the 3 day, and it was way to rushed and over quick! Me and my family are looking forward to the time to get to rest and enjoy the ship. And since you are in port on 3 different days, you really don't have any excuses to not relax and take it slow.

How many days are left till our cruise?........Are we there yet?!?.......Aw, come on!!! :rotfl: :goodvibes

No, I have never been on a DCL cruise. I have been on Royal Caribbean (which was nice) and Carnival (which I hated). I'm sure I will love DCL. I love all things Disney.

If you and your daughter love Disney, you will love the DCL. It's like being at Disney but without the rides. The best part is that you still get that "Disney Magic" (no pun intended :) )feeling while your on your cruise :cloud9:

The kids clubs are really great on DCL also!

One of the perks to our room location, (if they back they boat in like they usually do) you get a priceless & gorgeous view of Castaway Cay while we are docked. You can see it right from your verandah. It's beautiful!

This is my families 2nd cruise, and we decided after our first, that the only way to cruise is with Disney. Although we don't have any children in our group, we still love cruising with DCL because it is more family oriented and we have never heard of any problems happening on DCL like you hear about other cruise lines.

Plus, on the DCL they still have their standard of pleasing the guest and making you feel welcomed, just like how they treat you at WDW property itself. Disney & Disney Cruise Line is unmatched when it comes to customer service IMHO

Hey cruise buddies! I am getting all worked up for the trip! I need to start work on my FE gifts soon. I am planing the WDW portion of my trip now. I can make ADRs next week.
I have already starting planing out what I am going to wear on the cruise. I have my dress for semi-formal night picked out! lol Please tell me I am not the only one doing this!!;)
I also started my Pre-trip report!

Nope, you're not the only one. I had a dress made for my DD and I bought one for myself already for formal night. :thumbsup2 I can't wait! I am sooo excited!!! :hourglass
