Hi Shari, Can you please change our stateroom to 8582. We have upgraded from a Cat 4 to a Cat 3. Thanks
The change is made! Congrats! :thumbsup2

Small World... I am so excited it went to a Dis member. We passed on that same room/upgrade last Monday because since requesting it in May we changed our Cat 4 to two connecting Cat 5's. Since we have two teens and a toddler we decided it was better for them to have their own beds then to listen them complain about sharing a pull out. I am so excited for you!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Dana

I am also excited it went to a Dis member. :goodvibes We had thought of doing two connecting rooms but my children are still young enough to not care about sleeping in the same bed. :woohoo: I wish we were leaving tonight!

Thanks for making the change Shari!

Hi everyone! We have looked at our excursion booklet at least a dozen times and picked a few excursions we might like to do. When I went onto DCL website though, some of the excursions that are in our booklet for Cozumel don't show up on the website and there are a bunch of new ones for Cozumel as well. Did they change all the excurisons but just send out old excursion booklets? Anybody know what the deal is???? THANKS!

The booklets are new, but things are always subject to change and the website is supposed to be the most up-to-date, so I would probably go by that. Safest bet though would be to call DCL and ask. That should not be necessary, but sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing - LOL.

Okay, I e-mailed WDW Mail Order to see if they could help me with ordering a Pal Mickey. I think it would be a good gift for Ilea for Christmas, possibly sooner. It might help with the "I'm no longer the littlest in the house" issue when Elijah is born. (Sometime between now and roughly October 22nd.) I've read Shari's page about clothes for the Pal, but I have a few other questions.

Do they stock all of the Pal Mickey styles in the shop or if you order one, do you automatically get whatever the current one is? For example, will I automatically be sent the Sorcerer Mickey? How often do they come out with more clothes?

Are there any new features with the new Sorcerer Mickey? I can't seem to find any information on him.

Thanks!

Kim

I really can't answer about ordering a PM. There are 4 PM outfits by Disney which will fit the new PM as well as version one and HCOE.

These outfits are sold sep. for 10.00 (tourist, pin trading, safari, and rain poncho).

I also can't answer when they will pull the HCOE version from all the Park stores and only sell the new Sorcerer PM. I do know that Mousegear at Epcot, Main St Cinema at MK, only had the Sorcerer PM. Yet other shops still had HCOE version this past weekend. But they should pulling the HCOE from all stores in the near future as the new celebration begins (I am only assuming this to be true)

Seems the new PM does the same as the HCOE version. Sings, jokes, games, and of course park info as you walk thru parks.

Good thing though is both hands operate where as in HCOE only the left hand could be used to have speak is spill. (right hand had medallion). Tummy still operates him as well.

Disney has only put out those 4 outfits and I haven't heard of them coming out with anymore. Most of us find clothes for him at different stores, some ppl make clothes, etc.. sorta hit and miss finding clothes. But sure is fun looking <G>

I am a little nutty about PM, so have all three versions as of last night. Just had to get the Sorcerer PM <G>. I realize I probably go overboard in dressing PM, and why on earth I need all three versions, I don't know. But hey for me it's fun, and PM is fun esp dressing him up (I don't have kids so PM is like my kid. LOL.)

Good luck and keep us posted.

I think the original plan was that the HCOE Pal will NOT be sold anywhere in WDW after September 30. The remaining HCOE Pals will most likely go to the various outlets for sale at a huge discount.

Oct. 1 marks the official start of the new "The Year of a Million Dreams" celebration and promotion, at which time the new Sorcerer Pal Mickey should be the only one you'll find in WDW shops. If you order directly from WDW Merchandise and pay approximately $65, you'll be getting the new Sorcerer Pal.

Thanks for making the change Shari!

I wish we were leaving tonight too but the anticipation is fun too along with these boards which I have become a bit addicted to. Oh well since I can't talk to my kids about this (It is a big secret until Christmas) it is nice to have people I can share the excitement with. :bounce: :dance3: :bounce:

My mom and sister are in San Diego all this week for my nephew's wedding. I am really missing my "hometown" right now, but looking forward to the cruise distracts me from that a bit. :goodvibes

Too bad you couldn't make the trip. The weather has been really nice. :sunny: A bit of a marine layer in the morning but beautiful afternoons. I agree with you about distractions. My partner at work is in Italy/Greece for two weeks and he calls make every other day to check in. Whenever I start to get envious I just think about January and am very happy for him. I know he will be feeling the same way in a few months when he is covering for me :cool1:

Hi Everybody,

Just trying to wake this thread up a bit. Our cruise is getting closer and closer and I am getting more excited as each day passes. We are now just under 4 months!

We made our final payment on Friday so we will be ready to book everything on October 14th. :thumbsup2

Kim, my son finally emailed your son last night, we have had a few crazy weeks but everything is now settling down. How is your pregnancy going?

I hope everybody is doing well.

Shari, when you get a chance can you please add, we will be celebrating my DH's 43rd Birthday on January 31st. Thanks

:yay:

I was also wondering if anybody plans to make any door signs. I think I am going to give it a try.

Stephanie

Stephanie - I added your DH's birthday celebration! :cool1:

I have a "Disboard Member" door sign from a previous cruise a couple of years ago. It has my user name "Taswira" on it. I am considering taking it, but not sure yet.

Hi Everybody!! :happytv: :happytv: My DD5 is helping me write this message. Yes, we are definitely making a sign for our door :artist: . We are all very excited :yay: and looking forward to our cruise. Yes, we'll be making our final payment this week so that we can do our bookings on the 14th as well. Don't take all the Palo reservations!! :joker: :sulley: :mickeybar One quick question, anybody ever see Pooh or Eeyore on these cruises?? My other DD who will be 17 months is crazy about them....
Hope everyone is having a great October 1st!! party:

Kim, my son finally emailed your son last night, we have had a few crazy weeks but everything is now settling down. How is your pregnancy going?

I must be missing something. I thought we couldn't make reservations until later in October or November. Ah, you have a Concierge Level room. That makes sense now. Do you have to make the payment that far in advance to be able to make the reservations on the 14th? DH was hoping we could make our payment on October 29th and make reservations then, too.

Joshua was so thrilled to receive the e-mail. He promptly started trying to compose a response. He was so excited though that I couldn't get him to make sense in his response. He's been telling everyone that he got an e-mail. My mother in law called last night and that's what he talked about for 5-10 minutes.

The pregnancy is going better. I had been on modified bed rest for 9 weeks. It's a good thing it wasn't full bed rest; I don't think I would have made it with three children and DH. It was quite a challenge for them to get out the door to school, daycare, work, etc. each morning. I'm officially off bed rest now and Elijah can make his appearance any day he wants. I'm due October 22nd, but I don't think it will be that long. I hope not anyway, I'm pretty uncomfortable.

I'm glad the cruise is fast approaching. Southwest finally opened reservations for the cruise time frame and they've got some pretty good rates. My brother is hoping to come with us and I found rates at $99 each way from Denver, Colorado to Orlando! I thought that was excellent considering our rates from Baltimore are $79 each way. Now we're just trying to decide where to stay the night before the cruise. We're DVC members and are considering staying on property. Don't know yet, though. I would love to hit Downtown Disney before the cruise. :Pinkbounc

Take care,

Kim

Thanks, Kim!

Brady brought hers over last night to visit me. He is ADORABLE! I like that he seems a bit smaller or particularly lighter in weight than the HCOE Pal. Also, instead of the "boxiness" being in his head, it is in his bottom (rear), so he has no problem sitting on his own without slouching over - LOL.

For anyone dressing him in other attire - - You have to cut the thread that attaches his blue pants if you want to remove them. You can not remove the sewn-in red Mickey shorts beneath that, or you will not find a black fuzzy Mickey body beneath. Brady pointed out all this. I am anxious to get my new Sorcerer Pal on Saturday, but I promised my HCOE Pal that he would be going on the cruise, so Sorcerer Pal will probably have to wait for a future sailing. :teeth:

I was also wondering if anybody plans to make any door signs. I think I am going to give it a try.

Stephanie[/QUOTE]

I already did. I took the advice of the boards and put our room # on it so it is less likely to disappear (how sad :confused3 ).

We are staying at the Hyatt Friday night before our cruise..........anyone else doing the same? We are flying in from VA and we are hoping that we can do downtown disney on friday afternoon but we will see how early our flights are. We are living dangerously :rotfl: we are letting Disney make our flight arrangements - its just easier for us! :)

I paid a little early after reading a message that somebody made a final payment to their travel agent and it took 5 weeks for it to make it to Disney. I did not book through Disney. I booked through Expedia. In reality I did not have to pay early because Disney has already recieved the payment.

Ryan also had a hard time composing an email. I think it took him over an hour. :rotfl: He is also very excited and bragged to my mother that he already has a friend on the cruise.

I am glad the pregnancy is going better. I cannot imagine being on any kind of bedrest. My cousin just had her third. She was on full bedrest for the last 7 weeks. She had a two year old and a four year old at the time. Her baby came 6 weeks early but all is well and everybody is home adjusting to having a new baby again.

Those air rates are fantastic. We paid $99 from NY and I was more than happy with that.

I would love to be a DVC member. :lovestruc Maybe one day.
