JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Welcome to the cruise! If your DS7 wants to have a buddy on the cruise, I'm sure my DS7 would love to hang around with someone his own age. My DD11 has already started exchaning e-mail with someone her age from the cruise and she's really looking forward to meeting her.

I also have a daughter who will turn 4 the week before the cruise. If I can ever convince her she really wants to be potty trained, it would help quite a bit. She won't be permitted in the Oceaneer's Club if she's not potty trained. She does it when she wants to and is perfectly capable of being potty trained if she really wanted to. I think it's a control issue and also a way to get attention. I'm pregnant with my 4th child (a boy) and due in a month, so I think she's still trying to be my baby. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Take care,

Kim

I would love for my DS7 to hook up with a Buddy on the cruise. I understand completely about the potty training issue. My DS, soon to be four,
also was capable of potty training a lot sooner than he did. When he did it was done overnight.

Take care,
Stephanie

Stephanie - WELCOME to our Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea! I have added you to the cruiser list page of the website as well as to the first post of this thread and the one on the MDC. We are so happy that your family and your Pal are joining us!

Let me know if you would like to add any info to your listing on the website (Dining Seating or Stateroom Location?). EXCELLENT decision to arrive a day earlier! :thumbsup2

We hope everyone will get more active with posting here as our sail date approaches. :boat:

Shari

Welcome! We too decided to come in the night before and stay at the airport for exactly the same reasons - cranky kids are not a fun way to start a holiday!!Yes, I too am trying not to buy too much before the cruise but end of summer sales are hard to resistant!!

Welcome to the cruise. I have a DS 4 who will be hanging out in the Oceaneers Club as well. He will be 4 in June. We are also coming in the day before but have opted to rent a car and drive to the port that night. Good luck with the P.T.. It is always so much fun. LOL. :wave2:

Thank you for the welcome. We are so excited.
We are in the Main seating and stateroom 8060.

Thanks! I just posted your additional info on the cruiser list web page.

We can't wait to meet your family and your Pal. This is going to be a truly Magical cruise for all the Pal Mickeys and their families. :grouphug:

:sad2: We have decided to cancell our cruise on Jan 27th 2007. This would have been our 4th in 4 years, but have decided not to go. :sad2: We need to take a year or two off, but I'm sure we will go on DCL in the future. I hope you all have a great time.

Craig

Ya'll will be missed! I was looking forward to having rooms near ya'll. When are you going to cancel your room? The reason why I am asking is that like us ya'll had a secret porthole room and we have been hoping that a better secret porthole room would open up for us. Ya'll had one of the two best secret porthole rooms. Since ya'll can't go
I would love to switch to ya'lls room. Please let me know when you plan to cancel your room or if you already have cancelled please let us know that to. If it works and we can get switch to it we will do a special toast to the 4 of ya'll and even try to send the girls a postcard or small trinket since they can't be there.

Sorry to hear about you not coming, what a disappointment it must have been to come up with your decision, how are your kids taking the news? I'm sure our girls would have had alot of fun together. Also I would like to know what is a secret porthole room, I've never heard of them.

Craig - I'm so sorry that you and your family will not be joining us on this cruise, but we hope to see you onboard in the future. :)

Cruising canuck - The "secret porthole" rooms are priced like regular inside rooms because the porthole view is obstructed to various degrees (by lifeboats, metal, etc.) depending on which room. Certain "secret porthole" rooms have a bit less obstruction so are considered "preferred."

To the Pal Mickey fans here - -

The latest Pal Mickey was released this week - a "Sorcerer Mickey" Pal Mickey. He is available at the Disney-MGM Studios at The Darkroom. You can see a pic (Thanks to my CM friend Jillian) on the "News" page of PalMickey.net.

I will purchase him within the next couple of weeks, but will not bring him on the cruise as I already promised my HCOE edition that he would be sailing with us! :goodvibes

Mosuegear at Epcot has him too. I saw him today and will be getting one I am sure this week. Funny I went into the Kodak shop at Epcot they had the tuxedo one still out. I asked about the new one, and they had no clue about the new one coming out, when, what he was etc...

Then I went over to Mousegear and boom there is the new one. He is so cute.

Oh btw I rec'd the same my cruise travel kit that the primary person making initial ressie did.

I had requested they send me the info too and they did just that.

I got so excited when picked it up, had to open it immediately. Not that it really had any info in it I hadn't already read on DCL website, or in the DVD but still exciting. Just means time is getting closer <G>

To those that are interested.....Last February when we were cruising we rebooked on board to be passengers on this 1/27 Western cruise - we also decided to book a stateroom for my MIL and FIL. We got our excursion packet with the letter that states when reservations for Palo and Excurisons cane be made.....ours is OCt. 29, theirs is Nov 13. We thought that since we booked both staterooms on board and they were both discounted that we would all get to make excursions together and this is not so.

I called DCL yesterday and found out that I cannot make reservations for my inlaws at the same time I make our reservations since they have never sailed before and we have. IF we would have put one stateroom in my name and one in my DH name then we would have been okay BUT we put one in our name and reserved the other min FIL name (he is not a return cruiser).

I just thought you all might want to know in case you are planning to rebook for yourselves and someone else. Split up the Castaway Club members on the reservation to take advantage of the early 90 day bookings.

I think we wil be fine, I will make my Palo brunch and dinner ressie for all of us and then when their 75 window opens I will try again and hope for the best. If we can't get two more ressies I am confident we will be able to get somethine after we board the ship.

As far as excurisons go I really dont think we will have issues with these..we are doing our own thing in Key West. The Caymans we will do an island tour of some sort and then me and the kids will do some snorkeling excurison on our own. Cozumel will be much of the same. There are lots to choose from so I really don't anticipate having any problems.

Just thought you guys would like to know!

Hi Shari, Can you please change our stateroom to 8582. We have upgraded from a Cat 4 to a Cat 3. Thanks

Small World... I am so excited it went to a Dis member. We passed on that same room/upgrade last Monday because since requesting it in May we changed our Cat 4 to two connecting Cat 5's. Since we have two teens and a toddler we decided it was better for them to have their own beds then to listen them complain about sharing a pull out. I am so excited for you!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
