JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

ThePhantomsGirl said:
Well, since I've dined with you before I know at least you will be pleasant and well-mannered. Of course if a certain chipmunk (or a 6 foot Chip) comes by - then all bets might be off! :rotfl2:

Us waste food? Especially anything that reeks of "death by chocolate?" No way!! :lmao:
ROTFL - Thanks for the compliment about my manners - ha-ha! Of course, that is provided I don't end up in the arms of Mickey! As for the chipmunks, I'm afraid they are usually in the shorter 'munk height range on DCL. It must be that sea air! But that doesn't keep me from gravitating to them as often as possible! :lmao:

As for "death by chocolate" - Just wait until you see the chocolate offerings on the ship! :goodvibes

Ooooh....I can't WAIT to see the chocolate offerings on the ship!

I'm sort of bumping this post up. Seeing activity here makes our cruise feel closer! (I am sooo impatient!) :hyper:

I just pre-ordered the Passporter that is due to come out in March. Hopefully that'll give me hours of info to go through to tone down "cruise impatience". Pal Mickey is getting impatient too!!

My Pal Mickey is saving his "travel set" (the birthday present) for the cruise. I don't want him to wear out or lose any of it in the meantime, and it will still be fresh and new come cruise time! :tigger:

Hi!

How did you pre-order the Passporter? I wrote yesterday and she told me I can't pre-order it yet. I can't wait to get it!

Thanks!

Beth

That's exactly where I pre-ordered mine - Amazon. I ordered the Deluxe version so I got free shipping. Figured with the free shipping it was only a few more dollars than the regular one would be. It appears it will ship near March 23rd.

Wow, our group is really growing!

Hopefully it will be here before we know it!

I know! We are down to 10 months and 3 weeks! It's so nice to see our group growing.

I am like a little kid on this. I think about it at LEAST once a day. (more really cause I visit the DIS Cruise Board a couple of times a day :rotfl2: )

I'm also excited as my tax refund will take care of pretty much the rest of my balance on this - so now it's saving for tips and then the fun stuff. I sooo want to do one of those cabana massages on Castaway Cay.

I also got a hologram type of post card yesterday from DCL about cruises. VERY pretty card.

We are thinking about doing the new Spa Villas--it would be our gift to each other for the year (Birthdays, Christmas, Anniversary, Valentines Day). It sounds so relaxing!

Christy

Another thing I'm seriously thinking about is the RainForest weeklong pass.

My top things I'd do would be: Cabana Massage on Castaway Cay, RainForest Pass, and a Hot Stone Massage onboard the ship.

I think I'm also going to look into the Wine Tasting. I'm not a big drinker but I do like a glass of good wine.

Hey....

Has anyone one here tried the Rain Forest? From all the reports it sounds incredible with those warm tile loungers.

By the way, I technically have my cruise paid for! Hooray! (tax refund but now I have to wait on Uncle Sam to send it) Now I can save for the goodies.

Anyone who has been before: What were your favorite things?

Now if those were cold tile loungers, I'd go for it for sure! You know me - I'd rather be packed in ice than surrounded by warmth . . . unless it's the warmth of a 'munk. :lmao:

Just bumping up the thread. :wave2:

And I'm the opposite - give me warm! I used to fight my kitties for the sun spots.

The cruise counters are slooooowly going down.... :hourglass

hello everyone! just wanted to let you all know that my wife and myself will be joining you on this cruise. can't wait till it gets here.

Well, a great big WELCOME!! from all of your fellow cruise-mates -to-be! :wave2:

If you care to - tell us a bit about yourself! I'm with you - I can hardly wait. Right now it seems so far away...

Our group is slowly growing. (it'll be interesting to see how many people we do get on this thread as the date nears)

Any way - it'll be such fun to meet everyone!!

Hi Group! We will be on this cruise too. Myself, DH, DD (who will be 6), DD (who will be 18 mos.) and my mother-in-law (75). We were originally booked on an Eastern cruise but then switched to a Western one. This will be our first cruise - can't wait. I saw another Canuck on this thread - where are you from?? We are all very excited. My DH's only hesitation was keeping his mom "entertained" - any suggestions from you cruise veterans?? (She's a bit reserved).

Can't wait to hear everyone's tips!

Hi there, we are canadian too, from Guelph just outside Toronto. You will really enjoy the cruise and there is so much to do.

Hi Binky1 glad to have you and all the other new cruisers aboard!! We are from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!! -20 here today, but thinking of the Carribean keeps us warm. We will have our 2 DD's who will be 5 (Vanessa) & 9 Carly) on the cruise. Just got off the phone from booking our flights! We will be getting there on Jan. 24th and leaving for home on Feb. 5th. This will give us a few days at the parks as well, and if anyone would like to meet at the parks we are all up for that, first day will be Magic Kingdom!! We liked the split days with the cruise in the middle the last time we sailed so we are doing the same thing again this time. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise (Eastern, fall 2002). Looking forward to meeting you all!! It's gonna be GREAT! :sunny: :cool1:

Also I wanted to ask around if anyone has been on the Western cruise before what shore tours they liked/disliked for the 3 ports of call.

It's only -3 here today - we're having a heat wave :rotfl: - we actually had quite a mild winter although still tons of snow - we were throwing it on the driveway yesterday in an attempt to get it to melt faster. My DD's calendar shows March with people flying kites on green grass :rotfl2: Ordered a copy of the Passporter's Guide from amazon - can't wait to start planning. When we went to WDW last year before DD (6 mos) was born, I had everything organized - it made for a really great trip - no worrying about ressies, etc. so I can't wait to do the same this time around. (Can you tell I'm a "lists" person???). Stay warm!

I added dmes411459 and binky1 to our cruiser list web page and to the first post of this thread. Welcome! :cool1:

dmes411459 - If you would like to take a look at the web page and send me any more information, I'll be happy to add it.

Our cruise is shaping up, folks! Any Pal Mickey owners, don't forget to plan on bringing him and let us know so we can add him to the count!
