JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

We're down to 12 months and 2 weeks until our cruise! Taswira and I were able to go to Disney yesterday (Epcot, MK, and MGM) and we talked almost all day about this cruise. I know it's still over a year away...but anyone else booked on this one yet? (and are you bringing a Pal Mickey - LOL!) ::yes::

Sorry to say this and I don't want to rub it in, but our family is 1 week from our 2006 Eastern cruise. :rotfl: After we get back, then were are less than 1 year away till this cruise. :hyper: :hyper:

Yeah...rub it in - LOL! :sad1:

Still...it's getting closer for us! It's amazing how fast a year will go by.

The thing I loved about the Eastern was that extra day at sea, because I LOVE the ship. For me, the destinations are just secondary. :goodvibes

the4nitz's - Have a MAGICAL time and be sure to tell us all about the latest on the Magic when you return! :wizard:

We will be joining you on this cruise.

It will be me (Christy), DH (Steve), DS (Braden who will be 5) and DS (Brennen who will turn 3 on the cruise pixiedust: pixiedust: )

My friend Robin and her family will also be on board (2 girls the same ages as my boys)

We have a Pal Mickey, but I can not promise he will actually make the trip. I have a hard enough time making sure I pack everything I HAVE to have  .

This will be our first Magic cruise, we have sailed on the Wonder 4 times. We are VERY excited! :boat:
Christy

Welcome to the cruise, Christy! I have added you to the list. I REALLY hope you'll find a way to bring your Pal Mickey (Clip him to a belt or hang him on a lanyard and he won't have to be "packed" - LOL), because the following is our notice for Pal Mickey cruisers, with more to come. It's going to be great fun!

A Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea
Disney Magic: January 27 - February 3, 2007
JOIN US departing Port Canaveral FL on 27 January 2007 for "A Pal Mickey Gathering at Sea"! We will be on DCL's 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary which currently includes the ports of Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay (Disney's private island) with two days at sea. Guests will make their own reservations for the cruise and any special dining or activities. All Pal Mickey meets during the cruise will be "Just show up" so you needn't worry about confirming with us for anything. The reason we chose January is because it is completely out of hurricane season but is still less expensive than many other months.

A few "photo ops" we have in mind:

Pal Mickey does Formal Night - Dining and meeting the captain in his finest attire!

Pal Mickey does Goofy's exercise class on deck - Shorts and t-shirt or beach attire will suffice!

Pal Mickey does the deck parties!

Pal Mickey gets lazy by the pool and in the comfort of those lounge chairs on Deck 4

Pal Mickey goes clubbing! - The little mouse will hit ALL the clubs!

Pal Mickey does "I'm king of the world!" pose on Deck 10.

Pal Mickey settles in to view the shows in the Walt Disney Theatre - Golden Mickeys, here we come!

Pal Mickey goes to class - Wine tasting, napkin folding, cooking demonstrations - Mickey will get educated!

Pal Mickey does Castaway Cay - Cookie's Barbecue, lounging on the beach, at the bar, various photo spots, etc.

You don't have meet with other Pal Mickey cruisers if you would rather not. The idea is to have as many people as possible cruising with their Pal Mickeys on this sailing, dressing them for the occasion, and just showing up everywhere. We hope to post a wide variety of photos from the cruise on PalMickey.net.

Hey...

Now it is LESS than a year - woo hoo!!!

It does seem far away, but it is amazing how fast a year can go by. Any way, a year from now I will BE on the cruise!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc (can you tell I am excited?) :thumbsup2

sap1227 - I'm so sorry that when I added your info to the first post of this thread, I somehow neglected to post your user name. That is remedied now. I did already have it on the cruiser list web page for our cruise however. At least I wasn't completely absent minded that day! :3dglasses

We just got off the Disney Magic for the Jan 28, 2006 Western Caribbean cruise. While we were onboard we took advantage of the onboard booking and booked a mini family reunion for Jan 27, 2007! If everything goes as planned we'll have me, DH, DD11, DS7, DD4, DGM#1, DGP#1, DGM#2, and DGP#2. (ages of the children are as of the time of the cruise. Is that the right way to do grandparents?)

Currently, we're booked in 7534, 7535, and 7536. :grouphug:

This was our first cruise and we've learned a few things to make things even better next year! I think we'll plan to get to the port earlier and maybe not put quite so much time between debarkation and our return flight. Although, this time it was a good thing. Our van driver locked his keys inside his van and we waited an extra hour for a pop a lock service to come unlock the van. He was certainly not very popular in the taxi service area. He was in the middle of the loading zone!

DD10 (currently, will be DD11) was disappointed on this cruise that she only briefly met up with the friends she had made via e-mail prior to the cruise. We're hoping with this much advance planning she'll have a fwe more friends to hang out with. We're also hoping that DD3 (will be DD4) will actually be potty trained by then. She spent most of the time this time with us.

Don't have a Pal Mickey, but I may look into getting one before the cruise. Is it possible to order them instead of going to the parks to buy one? Maybe we could have him meet us in our stateroom?

Well, I'm sitting in the airport waiting for the flight to take me back home. :sad2: I look forward to chatting with everyone for the next year! :Pinkbounc

Kim

Hi Kim! Congratulations on your onboard booking (Yaay! - Deck 7!). I've done that several times and it's so good to look forward to planning and anticipating the next cruise. ;)

WDW Mail Order is (407) 363-6200 or WDW.MAIL.ORDER@DISNEYWORLD.COM. If you ordered Pal Mickey from WDW, you would be assured of getting a "new in the box" one complete with the little manual and warranty (Keep your receipt and you can go into any WDW shop that sells him to resolve any problem or replace him if necessary). He is also available through sellers on EBay and various third-party vendors who often sell at a higher price, unless it is an older version. I don't think WDW can have him delivered to the ship, since he is not offered in the cruise gifts brochure and the ship does not have transmitters to activate his content. But if you get one and bring him on the cruise, he will still play games, sing and tell jokes. Plus, the more Pal Mickeys on the cruise, the more fun it will be. :cool1:

I have added your cruiser info to our cruiser list web page and to the first post of this thread.

Welcome Disney Scout glad to have you on board. Our DD's will be 9 (2nd cruise) and 5 (1st cruise) at the time of the cruise, we are all looking forward to meeting everyone at the sailaway party!! Only 50 weeks to go!! :sunny:  :woohoo:

Let me add my "hello's" too! It'll be fun to meet up with everyone.

I hope you do get a Pal Mickey in time for the cruise - can you imagine all those PM's onboard? (and those GREAT photo ops!)

Add 2 more to my group!! My friend Kristen and her son Jack (also 5 when we are sailing) will also be coming!

I am sooo excited, I am not sure I will be able to make it all the way to January!! Our prior cruises have been booked 1 month ahead, 2 weeks ahead, 2 months ahead and 3 months ahead. We really wanted early dinner this time (my older son slept through dinner every night on our Wonder cruise in September).

Christy

I updated the cruiser list web page and the first post of this thread to add your friends. The more the merrier! :goodvibes

 I just booked myself on this cruise!! I am so excited!!!!

As of right now I'm solo. I just reserved a group booking today. So I have 8 cabins and I'm not sure who will be going with me. I'm usually solo with most of my travels.

Okay. Thanks, Amlee. On the cruiser list web page I have your user name, state, and that it's your 2nd Disney cruise. Is that correct?

Amlee - Welcome!!! It's going to be fun meeting everyone. By the time a year passes I'm sure it'll feel like having old friends all over the place.
