Just wanted to start a new thread for the Jan. 24th 3 nt cruise leaving from Port Canaveral. There is a link for this but when you open it up it says it is 4 nts leaving from Miami on the Wonder???? Anyway... very excited about our first Disney Cruise who is with me??pixiedust:

I know I was starting to get worried lol. So who all will you be "Dreaming" with? We are surprising our kids for Christmas and then will be staying at POR for 5 nts. I can't wait to tell them it's driving me crazy!!!! This is who will be going with me. DH, DS &DD who will turn 13 day two of our cruise, DS (8) and both of my parents. Can't wait to see who else joins us.

Found the link - yay! That's so fun surprising the kids TriciaTurnerRN, we surprised ours with WDW in 2011, soooo hard! Their teachers knew, our relatives knew, and I am like a child when it comes to planning Disney trips so I thought I was going to explode!
We are going on this cruise with myself, DH, DS 10 and DS 7. This is our second trip on the Dream, we went in Feb. 2011 with my brother and sister-inlaw, 2 nephews, 1 niece and my parents. Obviously it was awesome because here we are again. We are going to All-Star Sports for 3 days after the cruise. Were planning doing just Universal and staying there, but the room discount was just too good at WDW. May squeeze in a Uni day, still debating.

It's me, DH and DSs - 8 and 5- headed to AKV for two nights after cruise. Wishing it was more time. Trying to cram so
Much into 6 days! So excited to try the Dream- DH is very nervous ...
Are you coming to PC the day before? Trying to figure out how to spend the day- prob Kennedy Space Center.

So excited we now have at least 3 families on our ship! LOL Looks like are kids might be in the kids club together that's sweet! We are flying in the 23rd in the evening so we won't be doing much but heading to the hotel (which we haven't booked yet) but we want to stay at PC. Just think 3 months from today we will be in the water!!!!!!! :cheer2: DisneygirlNY I'm sure I'll have some questions for you since this is your second time around on the Dream:)

We are staying at the Country Inn & Suites the night before. We stayed there last time too - it was great, free breakfast, free shuttle to port, nice room. The Radisson at the Port is very popular too. 2 years ago the Country Inn offered free parking for the length of your cruise, I see on their website they don't offer that anymore, but we aren't renting a car, so it doesn't really affect us. We are landing at 5:30pm so by the time we get there, we won't have much time. There is a cool arcade/go-cart track in walking distance that we went to last time, was very fun. We got a AAA rate of $125, which I thought was pretty good. I need to set up transport from MCO to Port hotel, port to WDW and WDW to MCO. Keep putting that off.

A hotel for Wednesday night is the only thing we have left to do. We got a great deal on our flight and booked our one day rental car from MCO to PC and then from PC to WDW. I'll have to look at that hotel and see what I can do. I can't wait till Christmas so we can tell our kids it's driving me crazy!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

We have reservations at Radisson and Country Inn but I think we are staying at Country Inn - kids will enjoy it.

So excited when I saw there was a link posted for this cruise!:cool1:

This is our 2nd sailing on the Dream. We went last January on the same sailing, but this time will be with extended family and friends. The family members are MIL, FIL, DH, DD10, DS8, BIL, SIL, their DS7 & DS4.

Looking forward to doing things we just couldn't fit in last year!

Yippy we now have four families ;-). Welcome to the board, so glad to have someone else who has been on the dream before. Anyone staying in an AFT cabin? We still need to book hotel for Wed night!!

I think we are AFT, we are in a verandah right under Cabanas (I think that's aft, still don't know my cruise terminology!). Kids and DH think we are in a regular porthole room like we were on the last trip, but I upgraded us without them knowing! They will be shocked.

We are too!!!! How cool is that;-). We have two rooms 10160 and 10162 I think. Your family will be excited I'm sure when they find out. I'm still trying to come up with a way to tell my kids on Christmas morning. DH and I did a scavenger hunt with them the last time we went to WDW and they lived that. Any ideas?????

We are in 10166! We'll be neighbors. Too funny! and we did a scavenger hunt too for our guys for WDW last year. It was a school day and our flight wasn't until noon. Our 10 year old is usually the first one up, so we put a note on their door basically saying "you thought you had school today, but we had other plans..." and told him to wake up his brother and us (so we could tape it). I sent them from room to room in our house, trying to rhyme the clues on the notes (not very good at that) and they wound up in a room with our packed suitcases and some mickey ears and t-shirts on them. What backfired on us was: the older guy is not good with surprises, he really wants to know exactly what is going on all the time, and the younger guy was woken up earlier than he wanted to be, so it wasn't exactly the "disney commercial" moment we thought it would be - LOL! But, it was fun for me anyway....

That is crazy we really are just a couple of doors down from each other!!! Love the way you surprised the boys:) We still are not sure what to do and Christmas is coming fast! Not sure if we want to tell them about both the cruise and WDW on Christmas morning or if we will wait till we get there to tell them about the cruise. I made our final payment today and saw that we can start online check in on the 10th!!!! :yay: So excited I can't hardly stand myself lol.

I tried the surprise with my kids by telling them we were going to FL to visit with my parents - told them at the airport. My son started to cry because he wanted to go swimming in the pool- by the time we landed he was pretty psyched though :) not quite the Disney commercial l hoped for ;)

We are in 7584 - being a newbie I have no idea whether it's s good or bad location. Just wanted somewhere where we might have less chance for being seasick.

Is anyone bringing a fish extender?

We will be on the Dream the same time. This will be our first cruise. We are going with my parents & my sister, her hubby & 2 kids. Sister is a regular poster here (not her 1st cruise obviously) but she is a pooper so I doubt she will join us in this thread:rotfl2:

My parents will be surprising the grandkids with the trip for Christmas & I can't wait until the kids know!! They are going to be so excited!!

we are on this one :) 4 nights at OKW before the cruise.

It is me, DH, DS (14), DS (3), my dMom and dDad!
