January 24, 2004 Cruisers - Are you out there???

Hey Everyone. It is so great to come back on these boards from being off for a week and hear about everyone getting docs. I can't wait for ours to come.

I must warn everyone - my parents live in florida - about an hour from port and boy was I surprised by the not-so-warm weather we had for the past week. So for everyone joining us the day before ... bring a long sleeve shirt and pants. I packed 2 pairs of shorts and never needed them. I also wore my coat several days.

Jenn - so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Glad to hear the meet is still on for Sunday.

Welcome Dave!

Anything else I missed while I was off? I'm going to check the regular boards - anyone know how Nate is doing???

Take Care,
Karen

Well my DD and DS know they are going on the cruise.
They were so surprised! The post cards were great!
Any DD or DS out there that would like to email Heather (13)
can now do so. Her email address is: spangler1309 @yahoo.com
or IM her at: spangler209

I'm so disappointed! We are unable to ge the Dolphin/Stingray
encounter. It's booked! W just received shore excursion request
form last Thursday from our TA. My understanding is that we
should have had it 60 days prior to our trip. Does anyone have
any suggestions???

I hope everyone has a great Holiday!:sunny:

Just heard from my TA that my docs are on their way. I'm excited, but nervous. They are being sent to my house, but I'm not living there yet. So, I'll have to drive down every night to make sure I get them. Hopefully, we won't have a huge rain or snow storm so that they won't get ruined.

So, what's included in the docs? Just paperwork? Any goodies?

Our docs came yesterday. I was so excited, couldn't wait to get the box open. My husband couldn't understand what I was so excited about.

It's snowing yet again, I just hope it isn't snowing on the 23rd so we can get out of here. Also, both girls are sick, so I'm ready for a nice frozen drink by the pool.

Adrienne,

Right now we are staying in Bridgewater, but our home is in Matawan. I guess I'm closer to Princeton here than at home. I haven't been there in years (Princeton, that is).

We're not a family group, we're actually a group of group tour leaders. Since most of us have not sailed on Disney before, they are giving us a bargain rate in hopes that we will take our respective groups on a Disney cruise in the future. Our group, the Track II Travelers, have booked Caribbean cruises for the last 4 years, but not on Disney. For a change of pace in 2004, we are doing an Alaska cruise in August. We are primarily country/western dancers and use one of the ship's lounges for dancing on sea days. I know that the Disney Magic is really a family experience but maybe it will work out for our group as well - we'll see.

track2travelller - your group may not be "family" but it's all in the way you look at it!LOL

That sounds like fun! I haven't done country/western, well lets just say, it's been awhile!

Hope you guys have a Magical Time!

You guys gonna put on a show? or do you just do it for "Kicks and Giggles"?

Hi track2traveler

Glad to have you and your group join us for our cruise on the Magic. You mentioned that your group is going on a Alaska cruise in August. Just so happens my husband and myself are going on a Alaska cruise through Holland America on 8/28 Inside Passage. I was wondering if your group will be also joining us for that cruise also?

Scratch42:
We don't plan to put on a show on this cruise. But on past cruises, we have entered the passenger talent show and had a lot of fun. If you hear some dance music coming from one of the lounges, please come in and join us - everyone is welcome. We dance during the day, when the lounges are not otherwise in use.

Minybear:
Our Alaska cruise is one-way Vancouver/Anchorage on Carnival and we sail on August 24. Perhaps we'll be on two ships that pass in the night.
Will:laughing:

My father-in-law and his wife are "retired" line-dance instructors from the Hudson Valley! When they were actively teaching, they also brokered/led several cruises (NCL, RCL, Carnival) for their students and always did the same thing -- dancing in the lounges, etc.

The first (and until now, only) cruise that DW and I were on was a 1998 cruise to Bermuda with them and their group! What a blast! I'll have to keep an ear out for your music and take a peek!

How many are in your group, and where do you all hail from?

I just found out I can move back in my house!!! We still have things that need to be done, but from a permit/municipality point of view, we've jumped through all the hoops needed to make the place livable! I'm so excited. I'm dancing in my seat right now.

Christmas at home...I didn't think it was going to happen!

Pixie dust to all!

Great to hear it Jenn! Like they say, "There is no Place Like Home for the Holidays!"

Track2traveller - will definately sneek a peek! Does your group realize that DCL has a Talent Night! We should all join wearing Lime Green!

See ya real soon!

Our group is 34 strong, but we are not all line dancers - only 5 or 6. We are group tour leaders and we are scouting Disney to see if it would be appropriate to book them for a line dancing group in the future. The Alaska cruise in August is our primary line dancing cruise this year. We hope to do some dancing on the Magic, but there will be just a few of us this time. We have led groups of 25-30 dancers on Costa and Carnival ships the past few years and have had a great time. I'm sorry if I misled anyone into thinking that our group on this cruise is all line dancers.

Will:)
